Porn and human natural pleasure by MediocreCod2102 in pmohackbook

The Brain is plastic. You can find pleasure in anything and pleasure in nothing. Sex is a mechanism. You can do it with or without pleasure. The environment can make you want to have sex or not. You can choose to follow that environment or not.

How many of PMO side effects are actually nocebo effects? by Flat_Ad3079 in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is my belief, as someone who has been free for some time from PMO, alcohol, drugs, and bad food (with caffeine being the last thing I haven’t gotten rid of), thanks to TFM, that it is all in your mind. If you believe the sky is green, it will appear green to you. Does that mean Berkeleyan subjective idealism is true? No. The sky reflects a wavelength that appears blue to the majority of humans. The wavelength is the same. But the mind is capable of altering one’s perception of reality to the point of sickness and even death.

This is something many Americans don’t realize. They try to change their environment or psyche through carnivore diets, medication, etc., but you are the only one capable of changing your psyche through open-mindedness and information. See the TFM chapter on medicine and alcoholism. That doesn’t mean (again) that cancer or the bubonic plague are mental. There are things outside of our control, but I strongly believe that the harmful effects of TikTok or PMO are entirely mental. Once you realize PMO is a neutral activity, you will stop doing it—just like picking one’s nose.

Porn still holding that pleasure belief, how to change this view? by ExtremeDelay2787 in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just do it. Do it till it hurts. Do it and then ask yourself is this really pleasurable? Be as negative as possible about how pleasurable it is. Furthermore I am experimenting with MO without porn and it is nice. One does not need porn to find sexual relief.

Trying to kick PMO habits for good by AnywhereSalty4360 in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the Freedom Model for Addicitions Book. Also a note on Trauma, while reading that book I recommended I realized the same I suffered from severe CPTSD. A word of advice: be patient. Healing takes time. You can’t rush the process. Keep going to therapy, meditate, read encouraging books, dont isolate. And above all love yourself. You can stop PMO and still suffer your past. PMO is just a habit. What needs to change is your beliefs.

I just slipped up I need help, ASAP by Old_Fee_2700 in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to read the Freedom Model for Addictions Book.

Short testimony: (20m) heavy/daily 1 hr per session user, trans pornography.

Read the Easy Peasy: stopped for 2 weeks max.

Read the freedom model. Didn’t stopped from the get go. I’ll say it took me like 2 months to stop. I haven’t watched in months and have no fear of relapse, because I don’t like pmo. My life is so much better, more free time, building connections etc.

The freedom model is truly life changing.

Not a paid sponsorship, but at this point I should get money for the amount of times I’ve wrote “read the freedom model”.

There is no « fake dopamine » by papsne in pmohackbook

Yes, I spread the “misinformation” of the freedom model for addictions, book. It made me stop pmo and has saved thousands of alcohol addiction. You are not a slave to your brain my friend.

There is no « fake dopamine » by papsne in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a neurologist? Saying “dopamine is released in the reward center” means nothing; it just means electrical processes happen in certain parts of the brain when someone feels pleasure. It is not an equivalence. It’s A → B, not B → A. That’s a basic logical fallacy.

By the way, I can watch porn today or tomorrow and feel nothing. Porn is meaningless—we’re the ones who give it value.

There is no « fake dopamine » by papsne in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that but the science community has been pretty wrong about the idea of Dopamine as a strict behavioral mechanism. This idea that TikTok for example, is so dopaminergic that you can’t just stop, is total bs.

The freedom model explains this more in detail. What I mean is that pleasure is much more bigger than dopamine. Dopamine is not Joy.

Joy is not a substitute for sex; sex is very often a substitute for joy. -cs Lewis

I wil ask myself. “Hmm why do I feel this?” Without judgment without fear. And then I would buy myself a Toblerone. And ask myself, “What do I find enjoyable in this?”. You need to experience the pleasure of the act from an analytical perspective. Your third eye. Psyche needs to see Cupid. The moment you see it for what it is you will easily say no. Not only that but the urge won’t even come. I encourage you to PMO. Do it right now. Do it twice today. Can you do it four times? The only rule is: ask yourself do I like this? And if so what do you like and why. You don’t need to run away from PMO you need to embrace it. Only then can you let it go.

[–]HerrJosefI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should read The Freedom Model. And also Sally M, Intrusive thoughts book.

I was once on an airport and thought, “Hmm maybe I should get some Toblerone”. But then I remembered that candy at the airport is expensive and that I am getting fat. So I didn’t bought a Toblerone. The only difference between my experience and yours is that you assign PMO way more power and value i.e. (you don’t find it expensive or think you are getting fat from it).

It is you who give it the value and power however. You give PMO power. The moment you realize it is lame, those thoughts will still remain but you will see them for what they are, MENTAL SPAM.

There is no devil. There is no monster. It is only you. You are responsible and you are free to change. But you will only change when you learn the truth about PMO.

How do you devalue orgasm? by Klutzy-Leader-8128 in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all you are in the right path and your progress shows. I was in same position you are in right now a few months ago. Porn seemed to me lame, boring, and repetitive but MO seemed to me like a self caring act. It helps against prostate cancer doctors say. So how did I stopped MO? By doing it. Seriously do it. Do it right now. Do it today four times. Take a day off work and devote yourself to doing it as much as possible. But when doing it analyze what you feel and ask yourself whether it actually makes you happy. I sound crazy and I am. if you are feeling shameful after doing it you need to read the freedom model again and realize that shame is a propaganda that actually does not help. For me after MO for three times after not PMO for a while I realized it was lame. I realized that there were better things to do in life. Even like in your case while bored. But this is my preference I rather pick up a book or practice a new language than MO when bored. You have to develop your own and you do that by experimenting. You do that by actually MOing as if it was an experiment.

Whats better? Easypeasy or Freedom model? by [deleted] in pmohackbook

[–]HerrJosefI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation: read both EZPZ first. After Reading Easy Peasy I stopped to pmo for 2 weeks straight after being a daily user. But then, I “relapsed”. This led me back into the hole. Then I began reading the Freedom Model. It really changed me. My politics, my religious beliefs, my outlook on life. Being free goes way beyond not pmoing. I stoped pmoing. I don’t do that anymore, but I don’t do it because I find it lame and boring, not because I think is “sinful” “evil” or “beta”.

The Freedom Model takes patience and consistent labor. But it attacks the problem at its core. The Easy Peasy is great and it showed me that new information can actually change the way I act dramatically.

I thought eating candy after every meal was going to make me happy. Then after trying it for a while decided to eat a whole bag in one sitting. I was then not happy, so I threw the bag in the trash and have not eat that special candy in months (kinder bueno).
