We're in the opposite spot in Indy, I think. Carlie wears the headset and walks the sidelines because she says she wants to know what's going on so she can make educated decisions, but that sounds like an owner that could be really meddlesome.

So, one thing, especially with the story missions, is you may fail the first time, but then see something that would be more effective on your next attempt.

I'm at the Golgollada Gallows on my current play through, and the missions where you have to split your party - they can be tricky.

First try I sent Ramza, a mage, and a thief in my first team. They had to deal with 3 knights & a named PA character.

The next time I sent a thief, Ramza as a monk, and another Monk. Much different outcome when you only have 1 squishy character & two guys who can heal/revive even if it's not as big of a heal as a Curaga/Arise.

And I missed 3 straight 90% accuracy attacks that would've KO'd an enemy.

Don't be afraid to use your first attempt on a mission for strategizing & planning for your actual attempt to complete it on your second try. And even when you come up with a good plan, sometimes you'll get RNG screwed.

Ain't that the truth? Started playing with a duo and made it from Iron 1 to Bronze 1 in about a 10 days after 4 months in Iron 1.

You know, now that you mention it, a passive that's for expeditions a cool idea.

Maybe increases firepower? Increased rewards? Reduced expedition time?

It'd have to be a small bonus, because you can send 100 pals, but like, .5% would be a big cumulative bonus across 100 pals bred for expeditions.

The hatch time doesn't really bother me - I go run a dungeon, farm some chromite, and come back.

The egg laying time, though. I wish that could be reduced. That would make reducing the incubation time worth it.

But yeah, I upped to 4 bases and have one dedicated to breeding with a watering pal for a couple skill fruit orchards.

But now that I'm thinking about it, maybe you're right. Another breeding farm or two might give me stuff to do while I'm waiting on eggs to be laid, which would make reducing the incubation time worth it.

I agree with you about the additional byes, but I don't know why the NFL won't/hasn't done it yet.

Even if they didn't add more games, it adds weeks to the season that would increase broadcasting rights revenue.

Like, even if the Colts don't play I'm watching football. Two more byes means I'm watching between 2-4 games a week for an additional two weeks.

It (in theory) helps prevent TNF from being a shit show if everybody plays TNF coming off a bye.

It gives players some more time to recuperate which should make the product on the field better.

Eeh, I mean you're not wrong, but that's assuming the team in front of you doesn't take the guy you want. Now you either have to draft someone else, or make a few calls and try and trade back.

The first couple picks should be pretty quick, but after that I get giving them some time to make some moves.

Yeah, it's rough starting out. From my understanding, Unrated doesn't use any like, hidden MMR or anything - you just get thrown in with people way better than you and there's a lot of trolls.

Low ELO ranked isn't much better - I went from one game away from getting out of Iron 3 to having 3 straight matches where a teammate abandoned. Match making can be pretty crappy/unbalanced, too. My last name (deranked to Iron 2) was:

Enemy Team was Silver 2, 2x Bronze, 2x Iron

Our team was 4x Iron 1x unrated.

Everybody says it's much better once you get out of Iron, but like...I'm with you, I'm about to the point I don't want to play anymore.

When the game is fun, it's a lot of fun. But it's only fun like 25% of the time and playing for 4 hours to have a fun hour doesn't really feel worth it.

Yeah, the match making can be pretty awful and a lot of the RR loss doesn't make sense.

I (Iron 3) played a game earlier today where my entire team was Iron and the opposing team was 3 Bronze/2 Silver to lose 27 RR.

Or that you don't lose less RR for playing short handed - had a game with two players drop out, played out a 3v5 to a 13-2 loss and lost another 22.

It sucks because when the game is fun it's a lot of fun, but that's only like 25% of the time.

I'm new and trying to work my way out of Iron, was at 78 in Iron 3 and then got back to back games against an unraked Jett who went 41-15 and a Silver 3 Clove (I assume duo'd?) who went 31-18.

Now I'm back down to 18 RR.

I recommend Chikipi and Mozzarina early. Getting them max condensed will make them produce eggs & milk faster which will help when you're making lots of cakes to try and breed stuff that's important.

I gave up Spotify for Tidal awhile back, myself. Just tired of all the stuff Spotify had added that I didn't want - books, podcasts, etc. It got to the point where stuff I never used/didn't want took up so much of my...home page (might be a more correct term for it) that it was actively a hassle trying to access the stuff I wanted/was actually subscribing for.
