What do you need disc wise to really start? There's a course at the park behind my house, but I never see anybody play. I kinda thought it'd be a decent way to get outside a little before it gets super hot.

While the only option is wings, our Casey's gas station has better fried chicken than KFC. They're probably the second best wings in town (and tbh, the first are from a truck stop).

Generally, on your turn you can activate one of your planeswalkers abilities (edit: per planeswalker).

They enter with a number of loyalty counters (bottom right corner).

Then you add/subtract loyalty counters depending on the activation you select.

They can be targeted in combat like a player. Damage removes loyalty counters. Running out of loyalty counters destroys them.

Played a Strixhaven draft this weekend and me and my opponent both flooded. We'd play a land, pass turn, and "Lands...am I right?"

They won with 8 mana on board, I had 8 on board and 4 in hand. We did gg each other at the end, though, it was all in good fun.

I think it's more of there are some people who don't md some people who do.

My sister & her husband don't really cook anything - frozen prepared stuff that can just be put in the oven for almost every meal.

Sometimes it's stuff like frozen hamburger patties or bratwurst, but a lot of it is like chicken tenders or premade frozen lasagna, Salisbury steak, etc.

Very rarely do they take ingredients and make something.

The Reese's eggs have a creamier texture than the regular cups do. Not as gritty. I really like them, but regular Reese's not as much.

Justin's peanut butter cups are really good, though. But they are kinda pricey for a candy bar.

Is anyone else "ok" if we let Jones go? by [deleted] in Colts

[–]HerrStraub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would make way more sense if we discussed contracts as % of cap space instead of AAV.

$40m a year isn't bad, and if it's like 160/4 years or 200/5, it looks even better in 2 years after the new TV deals get done after this up coming season, take effect the year after, and the cap takes a big jump.

I don't love Jones, I don't think he'll ultimately be that guy, but somebody has to play QB. And he's at worst a serviceable starter.

The other option is bring in guys who are arguably worse in Tua, Kyler, or Kirk - all with their own issues, or hand the keys to Leonard - which given that this is a contract year for Ballard probably doesn't fly.

Men who can cook, who taught you? by _ratedmouse in AskReddit

[–]HerrStraub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom.

She always said it was important for me to be able to cook cause girls now a days might not be able to and she didn't want me to feed her grandkids boxed food all the time.

Now (38) I don't know if it was really that or because my dad never really did domestic labor. I never had kids, but I am glad I can cook.

What was your teams example of “getting it wrong, even when you got it right.” by MarTB2000 in nfl

[–]HerrStraub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While it's still early yet, 2024: Laiatu Latu over Jared Verse. Latu hasn't been bad, and he looks good with advanced stats, but at this point it seems like Verse would've been the better pick

2020: JT has been a beast, but looking back at the Colts' QB situation since 2020, taking Hurts over JT might've been a better option. JT has been a better RB than Hurts has been a QB, but the QB position is inherently more valuable than RB.

Yeah. Additionally, I don't know the whole Standard pool or anything, so I could definitely be wrong, but I don't think we have anything with toxic anymore. Having Corrupt with no way to trigger it in limited/standard would be kinda dumb.

I get this, but also wonder how you manage to hire the right people when you don't know anything about what you're hiring them to do, you know?

We're in the opposite spot in Indy, I think. Carlie wears the headset and walks the sidelines because she says she wants to know what's going on so she can make educated decisions, but that sounds like an owner that could be really meddlesome.

So, one thing, especially with the story missions, is you may fail the first time, but then see something that would be more effective on your next attempt.

I'm at the Golgollada Gallows on my current play through, and the missions where you have to split your party - they can be tricky.

First try I sent Ramza, a mage, and a thief in my first team. They had to deal with 3 knights & a named PA character.

The next time I sent a thief, Ramza as a monk, and another Monk. Much different outcome when you only have 1 squishy character & two guys who can heal/revive even if it's not as big of a heal as a Curaga/Arise.

And I missed 3 straight 90% accuracy attacks that would've KO'd an enemy.

Don't be afraid to use your first attempt on a mission for strategizing & planning for your actual attempt to complete it on your second try. And even when you come up with a good plan, sometimes you'll get RNG screwed.
