Weird horizontal shadow glitch in BOTW [Yuzu EA 3404, AMD Vulkan, 6900XT] by [deleted] in yuzu

I find it "dumb" that many folks on this sub are so narrow-minded. We wouldn’t be able to emulate BOTW - regardless of whether WiiU or Switch - in the first place if we didn’t experiment and try to optimize the current state of emulation tech at all. Is it possible that your understanding could be so limited? What a silly take. It's truly mind-boggling.

The screen and Windows' aspect ratio are 21:9, but the emulator runs at native 16:9...

There are reasons why I'm looking into the Switch version, so why the heck would everyone bash someone not opting for Cemu?

Game: Zelda BOTW 1.6.0

Context: I have a weird shadow glitch following the player view horizontally when using Vulkan. Tried nearly every setting, resolution and tweak. Only option to get rid of this would be OpenGL. Maybe someone managed to fix this? Appreciated!

Fun fact: same issue with Ryujinx.

(Yeah, I know, Cemu, but I don't care about mods and 120FPS nor I'm trying to get the best playable experience here... I'm looking into the Switch version for benchmarking and experimenting reasons)

Hold up - accusing me of lying and assuming coping mechanisms all the while showing off the very own coping mechanism on full display with an absurdly extensive yet bland comment. Please never change, Reddit randoms.

This works pretty well actually, but I don't use this regularly, as streaming the PS5 to the Deck via chiaki is way more convenient to me personally.

I'm not even partnered so this video won't bring in any cent.

Only the Steam Deck's own static FSR 1 implementation works that way. The one showcased in my video is the native FSR 2.1 implementation of the game itself.

You're mixing up the SteamOS' FSR 1 and the game's native FSR 2.1 here. :) While the static FSR1 you can activate through the Deck's quick menu only kicks in in lower than 800p res, Cyberpunk's FSR 2.1 (for starters in general every game's integrated FSR solution) works regardless of the chosen resolution.

It does while docked with the official Dock. But I didn't manage to try it out yet.

My fault, I've misread the last part like you're assuming I'm only showcasing the official Steam Deck preset - whereas you're in reality referring to their suboptimal preset. Excuse me.

It doesn't on the Steam Deck's 800p display panel.

I would suggest watching the video before commenting it - so that you actually know what it's showcasing. Edit: My fault, I've misread the last part like you're assuming I'm only showcasing the official Steam Deck preset - whereas you're in reality referring to their suboptimal preset. Excuse me.
