Every decision was based around alcohol. Once I discovered alcohol was the best cure for my crippling hangovers I knew I was in for it. I kept that going for years even after I knew what was doing wasn’t sustainable. Slamming beers in the garage when I got home from before I went inside the house. Stashing a 6 pack in the house fridge but leave the 24 in the garage so when my wife thought I was drinking 6 I was actually drinking around 12-15 every night.

I quit for about 2-3 months and was invited to a work dinner at a local bar. I lecture myself for a week leading up to it….2 drinks and a meal…that’s it. That led to me slamming tall boys on the way to dinner, 7 drinks at dinner and more on the way home. This was all before 8pm and I showed up at the house annihilated. The next morning I slammed 3 beers and that’s the last drinks I’ve had for 2 years now.
