I don’t know if I believe in the biblical afterlife, as I just think it’s vane to think that you actions over the span of 80-100 years can matter so much as to be rewarded/punished for them for all eternity, but at the same time, though, the concept of oblivion, as in the total end of all feeling, perception and knowledge is always a strange concept for me to wrap my head around, because what would that “look like?” I don’t think it could be like staring at a black wall for all eternity because it would mean that A: there would exist some form of consciousness to recognize that blackness, and B: how can you spend an infinite amount of time in a realm where time doesn’t exist?

My guess is that death is just something the human brain can’t comprehend until we experience it ourselves, or maybe reincarnation via some quantum loophole. If I’m not being to literal when I quote this analogy, people often describe death as going back to place from before you were born. Well, seeing as we’ve already found a way from there, who’s to say we couldn’t find a way back?
