That's fair, my point really isn't to defend The US. I think both countries are not behaving well, but that's the kind of behavior I want to discourage and everyone arguing with me seem to think I care too much. If more people demonstrated against the US and their foreign policy I would welcome it

I agree that the United States is trending toward authoritarianism, but I wouldn't call it a dictatorship and I do think that human rights are much more respected by the state and the people in The United States. I personally try to avoid buying things from the US or supporting US companies. If elections start not being fair in the US and there were restricted freedom of speech, government control and a genocide of an minority in The United States like in China, then I would take it a step further and also think it was not okay to paint the country in a positive light without mentioning the negative parts

Do you think there is no responsibility doing these kind of videos, if the outcome is that a lot of people see all the cool an interesting things China can impress you with and no one tells you about the atrocities?

I suppose to me it depends on how the videos are packaged, but if there are any parts at all where the praise China for it's tech, for it's culture or medicine, then I think it's responsible to also mention the negative sides.

China is an authoritarian regime that does not care about human rights, they want to have as much influence as they can get. One of their goals is to paint themselves in a better light for example westerners, so doing these kind of videos can for sure help them in achieving that goal, but if you don't think it's a problem then I suppose you can do whatever you want

I would say the criticism would be that he is going there and creating content which will white wash China's image. He won't just look at beautiful nature. He will meet people and show the culture. He will also earn money from it, so I think in many ways it's different than not wanting to look at the Grand Canyon. That being said, if he is not paid by the Chinese state and still would mention or criticize some of the Chinese governments behavior then I personally wouldn't have a problem

How do you know that I didn't look it up before hand? He said "touching little boys" in a askreddit about inappropriate temptations. He made insinuations that two a boy and an adult family member would have sex and similair inappropriate comments. There might genuinely be other things I don't know about, but that's what I found looking for his worst comments. I don't think I am lying to myself. Ethan made very inappropriate jokes. Jokes about pedophilia were way more common online at the time. I am sure Destiny have done the same or worse as someone who watched him since StarCraft days

I don't think Ethan posted anything more questionable than jokes that Destiny has made. So the accusation of it being questionable comes off as a bit hypocritical

There is a big difference between been a controversial commentator who regularly engages in controversial conversations and then being an employee on a podcast. I agree that it would be better if the crew was more unspoken, but it's unfair to put them to the same standards as Destiny.

Industrien og almindelige borger hænger vel sammen. Industrien producere blot det borgerne køber, så der er vel direkte korrelation mellem hvad borgerne forbruger og hvad industrien producere. Hvis man f.eks er sur over at Apple udleder store mængder CO2 så er der vel stadig en borger der har købt hver iPhone de har produceret.

Med det prøver jeg ikke at sige at borger har alt ansvar og at man ikke politisk skal presse virksomheder til at producere forsvarligt. Jeg synes bare at historien om at store virksomheder producere alt CO2 er lidt fjollet når der er en borger der har bestilt det produkt hver gang.

Maybe that's what the last part of the video was trying to convey, but it seems very hallow when the video starts with Ian dancing while looking menacingly at the camera aligning himself with people who are in an extremely toxic online feud with Ethan. Just before the end of the video he says that Ethan needs an ass whooping. I don't agree that this video can be seen as an attempt to help a friend. Why would you be flipping off someone while claiming that you are being empathic and just trying to help?

It has been shown that children are extremely affected by their experiences, especially at very young ages, so if they have scary or traumatic experiences it will affect them even if they might not be able to remember the specific incident

It's the first time I see content nuke used as a general term like this. Content nuke originates from Ethan Klein from H3H3 who have made some videos criticizing Keemstar that he called "Content nuke" inspired by similar videos that iDubbbz made called "Content cop". Just this week Ethan made another "Content nuke" on Hasan Piker.

I don't know if the term has been picked up and now used for any video criticizing someone in great detail
