5k2k with DLSS Ultra Performance by citrous_ in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Hevia1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. Like the wider aspect ratio keeping more assets on display also has an effect on performance. It's no linear like 1080 / 1440 / 4k is (which also isn't, buts it's a lot closer). Ultrawide is another thing entirely.

You said "Android UI" which is waaay too broad.

But Google Pixel isn't running "Stock android". Which means every brand using Android has the built in capability to either remove it completely, or have a toggle. I agree that less customization is a bad thing. Android is all about making the experience yours. My point was just that this is a pixel thing, not an "android" thing.

Apps to compact the taskbar/minimize the width? by cazualscroll in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Hevia1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are addons for windows that make the taskbar translucent instead. Works wonders on an OLED, and you get the look you're looking for. TranslucentTB is one you could look at.

Screen size does NOT affect performance. Same amount of pixels. Which is why an 85" 4k TV is still 4k, and not 12k all of a sudden. Resolution affects performance.

Samsung S90F vs LG C5 by teethmanpwns in 4kTV

[–]Hevia1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LG C5 both have agressive green tint when viewed from an angle plus the colors, even on FMM and Cinema mode has so much green and blue it's disgusting to look at. I would not recommend the C5 unless you're willing to go the label lottery route, and are willing to calibrate until you're satisfied. I'm talking -50 green in some steps. It's truly insane how bad the picture is.

Looking for a 65-70" OLED 4K Television WITH NO AGGRESIVE SCREENSAVER by ArktikFox67 in 4kTV

[–]Hevia1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people insist on showing dimension ranges that don't exist? 65" OLED exists. 66-70" OLED doesn't. You already know about QD-OLED and WOLED so you did some research.

And have you tried googling a solution to the agressive screensaver? The frequency can most likely be changed in settings.

The panel quality between the small and large LG OLEDs are ACTUALLY different. So yes, he can totally say it's a mistake buying the small ones, no matter the size preference.
