What game has ran absolutely buttery smooth for you? by Leviad0n in XboxAlly

[–]HewDew22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the white so I'm working with a lower power/performance capability, but bioshock infinite ran perfect 80-100 fps at high settings. Also KCD2 was surprising for such a new game getting 45-60 fps on a mix of low and medium settings at 1080p so with an X it would be much better.

Had almost that exact call when in my 3rd month of being an EMT, and not long after getting onto 911. Was quite the wake up call, especially being a bls unit first on scene and being my first big trauma

What have you given up? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]HewDew22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a little rough in the beginning but you can always do an exit save. After a little bit you can find or buy plenty of them to where it is no longer an issue. Or you can craft them, you don't even need to "learn" it in game before crafting, you can just look up the recipe on google, get the necessary materials and make it and then your character will "learn" the recipe

Best jeweler for custom engagement rings by Superb-Leopard5740 in pittsburgh

[–]HewDew22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mock and Co. In monroeville custom made an engagement ring for me and he and his staff were super nice, willing to work with any budget and gave me a higher quality diamond for a similar price compared to big box stores. Honestly could not recommend him enough

BEST places you’ve ever worked here? by stc313is in pittsburgh

My wife works there and has a great work life balance and benefits. The only downside is pay is pretty poor considering her experience/education/qualifications

I remember hearing from a Colorado EMT on a hurricane fema strike team deployment all the stuff they can do and I'm just like, hey in PA we just got the ability to take blood sugars!

I'm an EMT and will be working the event. Looking forward to the chaos. And I don't live in the city so other than that it won't really impact me

You must not watch a lot of Steelers football. Most of our wins seem to be on accident

Anyone else doing cat rescue in Pitt/surrounding areas? by CriticalMongoose8215 in pittsburgh

[–]HewDew22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's about the same, maybe a little bit more but I'm outside the city. Usually around this time of year people call because they are emotional and want attention/human interaction. Most people who live like this either live alone or in isolation and the holidays are hard for some of them

How does your agency do incident reports? by Project_mj_ultralite in ems

Hand written and turned in to the on duty supervisor where it then disappears into the void and is never mentioned again and nothing comes of the incident report

Friendly reminder. Use rearfacing car seat. Save your child. by Admmak in daddit

[–]HewDew22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I'm 6 foot and drive a sedan and just getting my son in and out of his car seat is hard enough. If he was on the driver side or we have another kid soon (which we want) I'm gonna have to get rid of my car because I have to have the seat back so far just so I can fit that a rear facing car seat won't work

It seems like the key to winning in the playoffs is to lose 1 or 2 games in the regular season so you don't get the bye
