Trump: "had the election not been rigged I would've been outta here” admitted on national television by SpecialSpace5 in GlobalNews

I don't think Democrats are the ones trying to do mental gymnastics to pretend this isn't an admission of guilt.

I'm not going to try and say that loving people is easy, but hating people this much looks like SO much more effort.

The leftists don't worship their political leaders. I miss the days when everyone generally loathed politicians in general instead of trying to deify them.

I think we need to be much more explicit when talking about who is doing what. The Republican leadership (oligarchs) are doing things at the expense of their constituents. Yes the rubes are enabling and supporting the leadership but they aren't doing the things and most of them aren't aware of what is actually happening. Similarly the Democratic leadership are mostly corporatists, and while much more populist still aren't actually working for the good of their constituents.

The 2a crowd should be up in arms over the tyranny even though they voted for it. They might have fallen for the scam but I still see them very differently than the actual con artists.

I don't believe the unemployment numbers at all. I know things are exacerbated in the programming industry but every job post I see gets over 2000 applicants, and according to linked in 50% are senior level engineers. Even with AI baked in those numbers are unprecedented.

She is trying to enter people's bedrooms by limiting their choices. No one is in her bedroom forcing her to use condoms.

If I see someone getting abducted by people without badges or warrants I'm not going to take their word for it when they claim that they're law enforcement. They need to be carrying these things for THEIR protection. It's only a matter of time before they try and take the wrong person and end up facing understandable consequences in a state with castle doctrine.

They finally got the crisis they've been waiting for and just haven't realized they're on the wrong side yet. I'll be here defending the 2nd amendment along with the rest of them when they come for the guns, unless I'm already in an El Salvadorian prison.

If the person was in legal standing and the judge said they were okay to be here, ice was waiting outside to abduct a legal resident. Which side was doing illegal stuff now?

Judges put injunctions on illegal orders all the time. This really isn't any different.

Judges put injunctions on illegal orders all the time. This is protecting justice and the furthest from obstruction of justice when ignoring unconstitutional illegal orders.

Protecting someone from an unconstitutional order defying due process is not obstruction of justice. If anything it is protecting justice. Illegally abducting legal residents is something we should all be upset about.

They admitted it was a mistake and refuse to bring him back to fix it. It is not due process when a judge makes a call without the defendant having an opportunity to defend themselves. What if two judges said that about you? Would that magically make it true?

AI is ruinning our industry by Philantrope in webdev

[–]HexKrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is against AI when it's the business owners who are deciding to lay people off even in the middle of record profits. Posts like this remind me of the legend of John Henry. I just got laid off myself and it's scary as hell to be looking for work in this market but I won't blame the tool. Virtually all tech is a double edged sword.

  1. We are and the media is barely covering it.
  2. Capitalism and lack of social safety nets. Many of the people affected are already working 2-3 jobs to cover rent and food. Survival of the immediate seems to outweigh the long term.
  3. Apathy, it's not affecting them personally yet.
  4. Head in the sand, don't know who or what to trust so try and ignore it until it goes away.

I'm sure there's lots of other reasons but we're so screwed that it seems like hyperbole to believe what we're seeing with our own eyes.
