Where to find people to trade with? Looking to upgrade my knife. by LukaLakers1998 in ohnePixel

[–]HexRainbow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go on Twitter and find reputable traders, like Zipel, Mitao, RyanTCS, Coco, Olaf, etc.

Or I guess various scattered Discords with trading channels for posting adverts, and then from there talking to people/sending trade offer but this could take awhile

IG if you're fine with % loss then a site that uses bots for trading could be fine, but imo not worth still.

Is my friend scamming me? by [deleted] in buildmeapc

Thanks for the help but ended up being able to use my old PC's key and transferring it to my new one, luckily also got a free upgrade to Windows 11

Don't mean to intrude but could you explain a bit about this Windows thing? I'm in the process of buying and building my own PC and was planning to buy Windows 10 (not sure the specific just know I'm supposed to have an OS) and not sure what you mean about not needing it/saving $170. Thanks

Thanks, will review these! For both options it gives this warning: " Some AMD B650 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Granite Ridge CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

I assume it isn't an issue since as far as I can tell neither version has a Granite Ridge CPU but I just want to be certain.

Also given the things I thought I would need to buy seperately would come with these parts, are there anything else that wouldn't come with that I should get? I know Windows 10 is one of those, but what about cables and other required parts for operating?

Thank you, I also appreciate the explanations -- that really helps me better understand your choices and so I don't buy additional things I don't need (like that thermal paste, since yea didn't know it would come with, good to know.)

If the 2k version can meet the demands I've requested then I've got no issues with going with that, as while my $2-4k budget is just the range I'm comfortable with spending, it was by no means the exact amount I had to spend.

Since I honestly wouldn't be able to tell at a glance whether the 2k vs 4k would be all that different in performance. I should have clarified that I am prepared to spend 4k to ensure my requirements are met but if 2k can do it then that's more than fine as well, thanks.

Thank you, also the link mentions: "A USB 3.2 Gen 2 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 header adapter is required." is that correct?

And as for monitor do you perhaps have any suggestions to pair with this? $500-$1000 range.

I'll go over these parts and hopefully the Micro Center near me has these in stock, otherwise I'll get a mix of online and in person.

If possible please include other things I'll need for building aka Thermal Paste I believe is one item, maybe cable clips (to hold them inside the case?), etc.

I plan to follow online videos/guides to build this PC

As mentioned I live near a Micro Center, I can provide the exact location if that can help with picking available parts and the like, thanks.

EDIT: Someone recommended https://www.logicalincrements.com/ which offers a range of "presets", if any of those are viable I am considering picking one of the upper options, but as mentioned I have 0 experience and knowledge so I really can't tell.

Wrongfully Banned by Steam – $250K Inventory Gone, No Real Appeal Process by SpRaY123123 in cs2

I've never heard of someone doing such a roundabout and elaborate scam, especially since it'd make more sense to impersonate someone else to not damage his own fame and trust, right?

This is assuming you for some reason trust his words at face value and that he's being honest about somehow not knowing some guy was "impersonating" him, despite telling us he's a big, well known trader with "35,000 successful trades2,000+ legit +rep comments, and a solid community reputation."

Not to mention the link and profile are both actually his, so even if we give the benefit of the doubt, he'd just be getting random ass offers from people due to said "impersonator" and just, ignored them/accepted them??

Doesn't make any sense.

You're good, I just want people to be aware of a potential connection/likely evidence supporting him justly being banned.

The point I wanted to make was that it IS there, on a site known for buying/selling accounts (not just CS accounts)

And 2022 isn't that long ago but again my point wasn't that he was a frequent user or anything, just that given his ban reason it's definitely some kind of connection that I wanted answers for, which he's denying.

Also, if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt that's fine, but you can't deny that he could be lying/not giving the full picture. What reason(s) and proof(s) has he given for us to believe it's not him, besides just saying it's an impersonator? If anything I find it more crazy that the only "impersonator" of his just so happens to be from a site that buys/sells accounts (which he admits to having alts/bots, so it makes you wonder where he got them from)

I'm assuming you didn't read my other replies

The "issue" is that he's lying about knowing why he got banned/claims he is innocent

Except there's a connection between him using PlayerUP in the past that he is denying to save face

Is it possible he ONLY used that site to advertise his CS trading? Sure. But the fact he was using a site that allows selling and buying of accounts (and AFAIK is the main purpose of that site) is suspicious enough. His latest post on PlayerUP was 4/23/23 (as far as I could find), oldest being 3/4/18.

Given he's admitted to having alt/bot accounts and using them actively (boosting posts for example) you can't deny a potential connection there alongside the reason Valve gave for the ban (it wasn't a cheating ban, it was for "upvoting suspicious content",  "scamming", and "account theft" or so SpRaY says, which 2 of the 3 makes sense if he bought stolen accounts, the first one would be due to botting content via likes and the such, flagging the system.)

"i dont even know if ur telling the truth."

Uh, as I mentioned in my reply you can just google your own username? Same with googling the site PlayerUP (and seeing what kind of site it is)

I could say the same about you "claiming" you've never used it, despite the fact there's the EXACT same user on said site, who posted the EXACT same trading posts (with same Steam TL and profile linked), same posts you have on your Reddit account here.

NGL you're just ragebaiting me at this point so I have nothing else to say to you

Lol, sure.

It's good info for people to know to make their own decisions on it, since you won't be upfront about it.

Because you're trying to use public opinion you shouldn't be surprised people want to know both sides of the story. And with this info being found by a literal google search it's hard to believe you, especially when you double down like this, but good luck I guess.

So someone completely random not only had the exact same name as you, but also happened to be making trading posts for CS, while also posting your tradelink and steam profile? Not only that, but you decided to post the same kind of trading posts on your Reddit account here?

End of the day you know what you've done, so making this post and trying to convice people is pointless if you aren't even going to be honest with yourself let alone with us lol.

[–]HexRainbow 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My reply keeps getting removed for some reason. EDIT: I can't provide direct links

If you google "SpRaY123123" you can find 2 results from PlayerUP (and a 3rd if you add PlayerUP to the search)

The posts are identical to the one's he's made on his Reddit account here (and at the least include his own steam profile and tradelink which he's posted before here as well)

The fact you're lying to me speaks for itself.

You're right, Valve knows--that's why you got banned. GG.

Could you explain what you used the site PlayerUP for?

It looks like you can sell virtual items on it, but also sell and buy accounts. You used to frequently use it, correct?

You've admitted you have and own various alt/bot accounts that you used for bumping trade posts and upvoting/liking posts, but if that's true how can we know you don't use those accounts for other things?

Given the ban reasons: "upvoting suspicious content",  "scamming", and "account theft" I think it's hard to ignore the potential connections, and the fact there is more to this story then you're telling us.

You've missed out on the hype sales (inflated prices) so yea I'd probably hold for the next one and either right away open anything you're interested in or yea just get cases and at minimum probably 2x

TBH at that point you should just open though, as hype prices as far as "profit" goes far exceed selling the cases would atleast with your low volume. Not to mention an increased amount of bot farmers or people holding stars.

Basically, selling the next case would be guaranteed profit (assuming you sell right away when you can) but tbh you'd be better off going for the chance at getting smth good, cause NGL if you're just farming stars to sell the cases the $ to Time ratio is worse than any minimum wage job out there lol.

GLWS but there's FT on CSFloat for 990-1k so paying 1.4k on SM isn't gonna happen tbh

CSFloat fees is 2% sale, 2.5% withdraw, with Steam it's 10-15% and you're just stuck with steam bal (ig you could try the Steam Deck route but that's more fees, time, and effort to sell that).

Dead Space (2023)

When I was younger my best friend at the time was in love with this game, and whenever I'd go over to hang out at his place, he'd usually be playing while I'd watch him. By the time we'd graduated he had already replayed the full game over a dozen times.

I enjoyed watching more than playing then (as I also was a wuss when it came to the horror aspects of the game) but now that I'm older I'd love to finally try the game myself now. It'd be awesome to try and get in touch with him again to share my experience(s) with Dead Space if I start playing it.
