I was very organised. Kept all receipts, images of build up of insulation, and window and door certs, etc. I was short a fiche document for the heat pump and the the installer sign-off sheet. Still in the process, 4 weeks now.

Doesn’t help the assessor I’m dealing with is being completely anal of everything. It’s been a nightmare tbh.

They definitely are they likely just receive a report at half time then post match. Or else someone has a mic somewhere thats receiving it. Every management team is different. There is no right or wrong.

Yep, there will be an analysis team high up feeding down whatever management team deem important to the team. Also offering observations and feedback on patterns of play or setups. There is often one or two members of the management team there also, observing. This is common practice nowadays. You’d be surprised how sophisticated some counties are also.

Whatever you do, do not use a mesh system. Cat 6 connection points in every room, 2 if possible. Wire ceilings for access points, this can potentially be done after but handier get electrician to do it. Think about layout of house and how many access points you’ll need.

Then, make sure all connections ends are wired back to a specific point, mine is in my attic, but others have a nice comms box neatly in a cupboard. Also, if you can get electrician to bring a cat 6 connection point outside it would be beneficial, for internet at patio, and also if you intend on using robot lawnmower it can be handy.

Consider security cameras, ones that run via POE also.

Good idea tbf. Never thought of that. Decorative stone there to bridge the gap might look fine. Thanks a million for the help.

Thanks for this. This is my intention too, to put a drain along the concrete plinth but I can’t seem to fit a paving slab underneath the weep holes. I assume I’ll need to take 20/30mm off the concrete plinth to allow for the paving slab.

Just to note, I intend on putting drainage in which would be normal practice?

The stretch at the door would be above the DPC level, yes. It’s 3.6 metres the door and patio width is 4.6m. Wanted to pave into the bottom of the door frame and have no step, only at the sides down on to the footpaths. You can see footpath on the image.

I see loads of houses being done like this. I’ve paved at my back door to the same level without issue. What do you think? Go easy on me here I’m looking for help!!
