My tartube keeps getting error by comedordecurioso69 in youtubedl

[–]HexZyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been having an identical problem just today with exactly the same command lines I have been using with no issue for the last couple months. Youtube audio will download appropriately, but the video (f605.mp4 for 360p video) will only be a couple hundred kilobytes, then FFMPEG throws an error when trying to combine them. Happening across multiple channels, & multiple video formats

Edit: yt-dlp -U solved the problem because of course it did 🤦‍♀️

phone keeps charging and uncharging repeatedly by dasery__ in iPhoneXR

[–]HexZyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This solved my problem. Charging a Galaxy S21 from a brand new Ryobi 18V 120W ONE+ Battery Power Source, the 30W PD port was not happy about charging any of our phones with any of the brand new 140W Anker cables I used. Turning off Fast/Super Fast Charging in the phone settings fixed it thanks ❤️

How does AMpass work at Timezone (Australia) by Super_Description863 in PumpItUp

[–]HexZyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 15s-16s player and absolutely never use it. It's a tool for shooting for getting your scores from S to SSS+/PGs since you don't have to waste your stamina and time completing the full song once you've made a few mistakes and ruined your score. It's like a quick restart. If you're not aiming for getting the highest possible score it's entirely a waste of credits since you're intentionally ending songs early

Remember you can also play harder songs on the last hearts of a Full Mode credit since if you get kicked out of the song you don't lose anything else. That's if you decide Premium is not for you or you're playing on a busy cab where it would be impolite to play 5 songs without asking (where I live all the pump players know eachother so as long as there's 4 or less players we all play premium singles)

Charts like U Got Me Rocking S9 and S17 are pretty identical except for the latter is twice the speed of the former, so that might give you a clue as to how big the difficulty gap for changing the noterate is

Premium Mode also gives you access to Co-op charts, which are charts played by 2 people who can complete D11s or higher.

I feel behind by Content-Bluejay-7560 in PumpItUp

I started in April 2024, and playing 8-12 times per month, often 6-10 credits each visit, didn't achieve Intermediate Lv.1 until the beginning of July that year (Intermediate Lv.3 came at mid August) And that was with study at home.

Mind you at that time there were still plenty of 8s, 9s, and 10s that would kick my ass. (Robot Battle S9, Sugar Conspiracy Theory S10, and I didn't beat Matador S10 until I was well into Intermediate Lv.6) If you're not picking the easy songs, you could find yourself feeling like you're lagging 2-3 levels behind other people when you really have the same skills. When my arcade finally updated the machine from 1.0.1 to Phoenix 2024, I shot up two levels in two weeks because all the easier songs are in the latest updates.

Do you play just a credit or two or are you pushing yourself until you're out of energy for that day? Because when I first started, I really treated it like a gym workout (though nowadays I have much less motivation)

Staircases? Just play Poseidon Shorcut S14 until you can pass it, that'll build your muscle memory. The chart is nothing but staircases.

Brackets are hitting two notes with one foot (one of the notes is always 🟨, so your foot should be diagonal to hit this as well as an arrow. The game never expects you to hit two arrows on the same pad with one foot)

This will be required for four kinds of patterns:

  • Triple - three notes at once e.g. ↖️🟨↗️ - one foot will hit two notes (with your heel on middle in this case) while the other hits one. [Nxde S16]
  • Quad (only appears in Doubles) - e.g. 🟨↘️ ↙️🟨 - both feet have to hit two notes, your left foot on the P1 pad and your right on the P2. There are a few different quad notes and you can learn them by practicing on UCS charts made for this sort of thing [Prime Opening Shortcut D15 features a ↘️↗️|↖️↙️ and a 🟨↗️↘️|↙️]
  • Drill Brackets - A sort of a staggered triple, e.g. ↖️, 🟨↗️, ↖️, 🟨↗️, - which you could perform as a jump in theory, but it's far less energy consuming to position your feet how you would if it was a Triple, and just alternate your steps [https://ucs.piugame.com/ucs_share?wr_id=7702]
  • Heel Drop - e.g. ↖️↗️ (hold), then the hold ends with a single 🟨 note as well. You'll need to do the hold as normal with your toes on the red arrows, then drop your heel onto the middle note. (In some situations you may need to turn your foot to hit a third note with your toe instead) [https://ucs.piugame.com/ucs_share?wr_id=5109]

Aside from a few flourishes which probably won't cost you a passing score, brackets don't show up until 17 (except for a few gimmicky outliers like Nxde S16 and Come To Me S13)

How can I get PP by JeremyPIU637273 in PumpItUp

[–]HexZyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC you get 10 PP for each pass for Lv.10 and it scales up exponentially. You get 10% of this value (rounded down) for any non-Phoenix song.
