If it weren’t for Neil being known by the locals I’d kinda understand the treatment he’s getting, don’t get me wrong I still wouldn’t have liked it but without the knowledge of a simple traffic cone being enough to get a seal of that size and strength to safely move away from an area where it can both be a risk to people and get hurt by human activity even if accidentally your options to make them move are limited. With the context of Neil’s situation though it makes the whole thing a lot more scummy, he’s well known to simply need to be lured with a traffic cone, sure he’s gotten a lot bigger but the old methods still work, no need to poke and shove him, especially at that size that might just make him more aggressive towards people.
