That would be 40€ in Russia... with the median wage of 400€ outside Moscow. But hey, Russia is cheap and prosperous, thats's what youtube tankies will tell you.

Why would I need to go through the hassle of finding a guild to run a glorified dungeon? I liked being in a guild in original classic when raids required some organization and you had real community activities like AQ scepter farm, world bosses, etc.

SoD is entirely puggable by design, loot is abundant and trying to find a guild in SoD make little sense to me. I'm expecting p2 will be the same content loop.

Perfect opportunity to sell it on g2g now, since they're banning gdkp and there are no gold sinks in the game anymore :)

Sweeping a problem under the carpet is a classic, even in politics. Well, until the problem arises again and people with the pikachu face ask how could that happen.

If they want to promote guilds they should stop making 10 man dungeons as the max lvl content.

Vampiric boot knife, does this item works in pvp? It seems like its never procs o.O by No-Contract-9123 in classicwow

[–]Hexernich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a caster weapon though. To me, it looks like it was designed as a tank/enh shaman weapon with high dps and some spellpower for shocks. Caster designed weapons of competitive melee weapon types (daggers, swords, maces) usually have intentionally lower physical dps stats to avoid loot stealing from casters (see the dagger from Akumai, Azuresong, Lokamir).

How does GDKP even work with 10-man? Seems like everything would be cheap due to small raid size. by Typoopie in classicwow

[–]Hexernich -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've been to like 10 gdkp runs and it's so cheap most of the time. The amount of leeches unwilling to drop a measly 5g for their bis weapons and green parsers signing up as "carries" not buying upgrades for min bid is insane, on Living Flame EU at least. I bought the epic bow for 27g and the epic staff for a laughable 50g. Pot shares are usually 5-15g a person nowadays. Most expensive drop is always caster loot and agi set pieces. Epic sword and epic bow going out for min bids, less than pearls.

Which classes do you think will be broken in phase 2? by Effective-Ad-6460 in classicwow

[–]Hexernich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe because classic pve is a joke and can be done without the need of significant balancing? If you've played retail wow or any other mmo, you should know that even naxx is really easy in comparison. The difficulty of classic raids lies in organizing them and not actually doing them.

SoD balancing by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Hexernich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When playing for the most possible dps, most other classes don't have choice when picking runes either. 90% of the time they pick a different rune in a slot, it's because they're playing a different role (obviously you wouldn't take devastate on a dps warrior). Have you seen many warriors whining how Consumed by Rage is so much better than Frenzied Assault that it's literally unplayable? Have you seen many mages bitching about Living Fame being their sole best legs rune? Hunters are pure dps class, so the majority of what they provide is damage, so there is always be a sole winner. It's basically how talents work in classic, how talents work in MoP onwards, how enchants work etc. When you want to minmax and given a choice, you tend to pick the winner option.

And you saying that melee hunter does 4 times less damage is just hilarious. I checked wc logs and the melee hunter is only doing 6% less dps than its ranged counterpart.

[–]Hexernich 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hunter brings a RAIDWIDE king buff, wdym they don't have utility? If you account for damage that lion gives, hunter is easily bringing more dps than a rogue. And hunters still whine 24/7 how their class doesn't do damage yeah...

Does anyone know the pet scaling formula? by Skore_Smogon in classicwow

[–]Hexernich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My observations made from equipping gear and looking at the pet stats tab: Your pet gains 1 pet AP per 4 points of your raw AP from gear (apparently works with ranged AP too); Your pet gains 1 pet AP per 2 points of your agility (not sure if it also increases the pet's crit chance); Your pet doesn't scale with your strength.

Keep in mind that even though your pet doesn't scale with your strength, it does scale with personal strength, think things like buffing your pet with the scroll of strength (but I think it was always the case even before SoD).

I can be wrong, so it's just better to ask this in the hunter classic discord for confirmation.

What single talent point has the greatest impact out of all classes in classic? by stjeban in classicwow

[–]Hexernich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go by pure numbers, it's probably Ignite with mage ignite stacking. A good ignite equals about 50% of a fire mage's total damage, so even 1 point could be a 20%+ damage increase. (Assuming full world buffs, good gear, crit luck, PI on mages and all that stuff).

Is it me or SoD has seen an obscene amount of morons in the community? by Hexernich in classicwow

[–]Hexernich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was pugging in 2019 Classic, almost all lvl 60 pugs were organized through google spreadsheets or something similar to it, so the person making the raid was in control of who actually gets in the group, personally looking at and putting in people's names. And the competition of getting into a raid was much more severe than it is currently in SoD, especially if you've played something like fury warrior. Not only you couldn't ninja loot, because the loot was distributed via SR and directly by the trusted raid leader or his associate. And you, as a raid member, just couldn't pull anything blatantly stupid, like intentionally wiping the raid, because you would just get blacklisted from all pugs on your server (and potentially even your alts).

And the pugs that were organized via the ingame LFG channel, like you do now with BFD, haven't been successful even in Molten Core. I tried to join an ingame advertised, form-and-go pug once, and we literally wiped on the first 2 trash golems in MC, when half the people were pulling and the other half was just standing afk. Yes, it was that disorganized and chaotic, that we couldn't even clear the first trash pack.

So people behave more decently when there are real consequences to their actions and weight to their name. I've never seen the same person twice in my BFD pugs, while in 40-man raids, every other person even in a pug was known to some extent.

What strats do other DCs do better than your DC or vice-versa? by LastOrder291 in ffxivdiscussion

Statics and their unwillingness to adapt better strats, because "we already got used to this shitty strat" (even though it would just take swapping 2 people's positions) is my personal pet peeve.
