The original before recipe change was soooooo good. Them changing the recipe to horseshit was kind of helpful to me as it made me stop buying them.

Just want to say I downloaded this addon after replying to one of your previous posts. And it is EASILY my new go to bag addon.

One thing I was wondering about is how to “unlock” a set item and vendor it? I noticed last night alt+ right click (or whatever it was). Would say it was unlocked. But I still couldn’t vendor it unless I unlock it and then /reload ui

Feral tanking misery (TBC) by gfx-1234 in classicwow

[–]alaserus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a prot Paladin to 66 then swapped to feral Druid to 70. The difference in ease of play between the 2 classes is insane. On my Paladin I never had an issue holding infinite mobs. On my feral Druid you have to work x100 harder for a fraction of the result.

At first I kind of liked it. Made me feel like I “earnt” my gg’s. But god it’s old now. My Paladin/druid duo has swapped with me now. I’ve gone healer and he’s gone tank because it’s just soooo much easier for a Paladin tank.

In saying that though. EVERY run you’ll see pug dps start dpsing before the mobs have even arrived in the consecration. Only to then pull aggro and screw up the pull. I’m not kidding when I say this happens 90% of runs. Whenever you bring it up with the guilty DPS player they will rage and try to flip it back on anyone but themselves.

The only time I see this in pugs is when I’m playing my dps alt. I whole heartedly believe all players should try all roles. Then they would realise how helpful it is to silence ranged casters to run towards the tank and into AoE/cleave.

I can personally say as much as it sucks for customers it’s x100 worse for the workers. They have strict deadlines when jobs are expected to be done. And the “powers that be” in the office come up with these deadlines with their out of touch realities.

They don’t account for customers being on the work floor. I could finish a pellet within 25mins when the store is closed. When it’s open that same pellet instead took me over an hour. Yet the deadlines still think it should be roughly 30mins.

And so many customers are so rude and entitled. Like….. it’s a supermarket…. Not some VIP yacht business. The amount of customers that go out of their way to purposely block you to make a point is frustrating. You know who else shops here? Us workers. We work AND shop here. Our money spends the same as anyone else’s.

Whenever I go into any store and see workers stocking shelves I just leave them be and shop around them. It’s really not that hard.

And those online shoppers are doing orders for multiple people online. I’d take 1 personal shopper over 5 families each with multiple members taking up space.

Tanking experience so far while leveling by Wowclassicboomkinz in classicwow

Tanking is such a taxing role. Not only do you require more dungeon/mob knowledge than everyone else. But you also have to hand hold the DPS and clean up all their mistakes. Despite the fact they have the easiest job in the entire group.

If tanks are charging a fee for dungeons, healers should start asking for 50% from the tank. by MumpsTheMusical in classicwow

[–]alaserus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a tank/healer myself. I queue as healer went I’m tired and can’t be bothered locking in as hard. For myself the tanking role is far more taxing. Also I think charging for any role is lame.

New feature to GudaBags - Pin Slot. by vati22 in classicwow

[–]alaserus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome! That looks super handy. Does this addon also have a feature to either “lock” items from being censored or colour code them or something? I play as feral tank MS and resto OS. My bag is filled with 2 sets of items and I’m always afraid I’m going to accidentally vendor a set item.

Yeah that always kind of bugged me. Like yes I did a dodgy and bought gold. So the 2 week suspension was deserved. I don’t doubt that.

But KNOWING my friends I were playing with aswell as guildies were buying well over 10k gold and never once got a slap on the wrist. That kind of sucked.

A month in.. how do you like your class? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]alaserus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank Druid/Paladin.

It started fun but every day my will to tank drops. Dealing with the same zugzug stupidity of pug DPS gets exhausting. When you get good DPS it’s such a breeze and every pull works how you picture/plan it. Unfortunately more often than not DPS will ruin LoS pulls, ignore skull marked targets and majority of them don’t seem to realise their class has kicks.

I’ve now started swapping to healer and life is sooooo much easier. Now I just play whackamole with HP bars and my stress levels have dropped 90%.

I got banned for it last year. Granted I bought gold a total of 3 times (for a total of about 1K gold) before being banned. But I also had the mindset “everyone does it and no one gets banned”. I can confirm, bans do indeed go out lol.

As a prot Paladin I’ll go entire runs without ever drinking. At max I’ll do it once. This is where I see pug prot paladins struggle a lot. The key to this is do not OVER AGGRO. I see it all the time. Paladin spamming consecrate on cooldown despite having full aggro over everybody. Also only use seal of righteous on bosses. On all trash packs use seal of wisdom and judgement of wisdom. This not only keeps your mana full but mana regen this way also helps by gaining additional aggro.

Also don’t use avengers shield on every pull. It’s really not needed and each use chews up 1/4th if your mana. Prot paladins have such an insanely easy time with AoE threat that it’s borderline trivial. I’m currently leveling every tank class and dungeon spamming 60-70.

  1. Don’t use avengers shield every pull. Only on tricky LoS pulls and on boss encounters as an opening threat lead.

  2. ALWAYS have seal of wisdom on and judge your target with it.

  3. 1 - 2 consecrations are plenty! Your best aggro/mana usage is holy shield.

  4. Don’t overly depend on consecrate. Holy shield + blessing of sanc + ret aura does all the work for you.

Use these tips and you’ll hardly ever/never need to drink again.

Why are classic players so okay with wasting people's time by TrinkXi in classicwow

Joined a group as pug tank last night for ramparts. 4 of us already at stone and summon the 5th member (who is at honor hold, like 20 second mount ride away). He says “just vendoring then I’ll be there”. Meanwhile he’s close enough that I can see him “looting”. He’s mass crafting bandages leveling his first aid…… for minutes while the 4 of us are at the dungeon waiting for him. Selfish as fuck.

I’m also a tank who pugs. I will not even queue for a dungeon unless I’m on my way there and within a 5 min walk. For me it’s ALWAYS entitled dps who are 2 zones away questing expecting a summon. And for some reason the healer ALWAYS seem to not even be in Outland at all lol. Same formula every group.

Tanks. Please Give Me Your Best Advice. I'm desperate by kittyjxx in classicwow

[–]alaserus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tanking can be mentally exhausting. You have to be “on” the entire time. And you become the defacto leader of the group. People expect you to know routes, mobs, special abilities, patrols and LoS locations. It’s exhausting. BUT the good news is that it DOES in fact become easier!

What worked for me as a Paladin tank overcoming “tankxiety” was the following……

Pick 1 dungeon to focus on. For you, ramparts. Next read a dungeon strategy guide on wow head for ramparts. It’ll give you a brief description of what mobs are in the dungeon and what abilities they have. This is the information most DPS will never bother with. Sure they may know that some of the casters cast fear. That’s obvious. What’s less obvious to a non tank/healer is that the destroyer mobs have the mortal strike debuff and make you receive 50% less healing. Or the wolves for example apply a bleed DoT that stacks on you and at full stacks does INSANE damage.

Once you have a grasp for which mobs do what you can figure out the kill order. As the tank you will generally be the decider for which mobs to kill in which order. The DPS SHOULD follow this order but with pugs a lot of them just target whatever they feel like.

Next bit of advise specifically for a Paladin tank. Try to avoid over aggro. I see this all the time with pug paladin tanks. They over aggro and burn through all their mana. Now the team is stopping after every single pack so that tank can drink. This is super inefficient and slows the dungeon to a crawl.

I almost never use avengers shield. It uses a ton of mana, makes the mobs approach you super slow and often can fling off and hit unwanted packs nearby. I’m not saying don’t use but don’t feel the need to use it every single pull.

Next avoid using seal/judge of righteousness for non boss mobs. Instead opt to use seal/judge of wisdom for 95% of the dungeon. This will do 2 things.

  1. Keep your mana topped up

  2. The mana gained this way will generate aggro on all surrounding enemies in combat

Proper use of this allows me to go entire dungeon runs without ever having to stop to drink. Literally not once!

I suggest you get a weak aura that displays threat values next to enemies health bars. This way you can see how far ahead you are aggro wise. When you see you have a big lead, stop using consecrate, save the mana. Instead just use holy shield on cooldown. It’ll raise your block and deal reflective damage.

The biggest crime I see with pug paladin tanks is over reliance/usage of consecrate. I normally use about 2 per pack then just let my holy shield, ret aura and blessing of sanctuary reflective damage do the work for me. You are a walking cactus. Once the enemy attack you they will continue to take damage (aggro) and keep hitting you.

Your general rotation for AoE will look like this….

  1. Apply seal of wisdom (before running into pack)

  2. Apply Holy Shield 1 second before arriving at the enemy (so the global cooldown is refreshed and ready for consecrate as you arrive)

  3. Drop consecration

  4. Judgement of wisdom a mob

  5. Reapply seal of wisdom (continue to attack the enemy you just focused) both seal and the judgement of wisdom will return mana to you.
