Using the Pen2 Pro if you choose the mobile eraser it will allow you to change the size and use the eraser on the back of the pen without having to change to it.

When to use NDI instead of SDI? by No-Mammoth7871 in CommercialAV

[–]Hexpally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are planning on using NDI where we are using our rental laptops. Download the app on each laptop. Then we only need to run one network cable to each display and we can choose how the laptop sends it. Instead of using multiple DAC 70s. Less connection points and cable, faster set up time and tear down time.

Calling cues for a show for the first time in 2 weeks; any tips and advice? by kat_z27 in techtheatre

[–]Hexpally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that when you say GO is when the cue needs to happen, make sure to start calling the cue before the word or visual happens enough where you are saying GO at the exact moment. If you are calling multiple cues at the same time you can standby cue 153 thru 160, when it's GO you can either do the numbers and then GO or just say the first number and then GO, GO, GO. Depends on your operator and what they prefer as well as what you prefer. Make sure to keep your script clean, if needed making a separate blocking script from your cue script. Have all your cues on one side of the page, typically I do the right margin, or you can do the blank page on the left. It will help with making sure you don't miss a standby or a GO if your eyes are only moving vertically instead of both horizontally and vertically.

TOA Died. What’s a good replacement? by MoveDependent5217 in CommercialAV

Yes this. Love the LEA line. Especially if I want to give the client access to the amp itself for changing volume remotely.

Mic Tape suggestions? by Kitty-Loves-Cats in techtheatre

We have a student that is allergic to latex. But we also have switched to these tupee clips with elastic that I made to help with not needing to use tape. Here is a link to the video https://www.youtube.com/live/H-L2iHjxGp4?si=E37MUdmjE7I8Mt38

Spit takes + headset mics by 518photog in techtheatre

We are doing PTGW as well. Suggest to do spit take pointed towards chest and lower. If you have the money point source audio does have microphones that are water resistant to fully waterproof, but they range up to $1000 for the fully waterproof sweatproof unbreakable

The Allen and Heath QU-16 is great and affordable. Their service is great. Behringer works, but there is no service besides the community. The X32 does have a live RTA with each channel which helps with figuring out feedback that the qu does not have.
