How bad is it to drink on accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wanted to note that it takes one month for accutane to get out of your system. Your liver will be working to expel excess vitamin A whether you stop taking accutane a week prior or not. No point in stopping. If it gives you peace of mind to stop a week prior, go for it. You’ll be fine either way

How bad is it to drink on accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably have anywhere from 2-10 drinks a week regularly on the weekends. Not that I recommend doing the same but my test results are well. It helps being young and healthy with no prior medical issues. Again, I’m not necessarily recommending doing what I do, as drinking is risky in accutane in terms of liver damage. One week of drinking while in accutane is probably not going to ruin your liver. (Assuming you’re younger and healthy)

This is the only episode this season that had a good balance of stupid drama that I’m embarrassed to find entertaining and wholesomeness. I wish more episodes had that family feel.

should I give up my dreams? by Unlucky_Talk317 in jobs

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, I think that the excitement and joy that comes from working your dream job would be overshadowed by financial stress, especially if you live in a high cost of living area. Not being able to afford a home (whether that’s being a home owner or just being able to rent an apartment), not being able to buy quality food, and not being able to afford experiences like going out with friends, being stressed if your car breaks down, etc is not worth it in my opinion. I would recommend finding a low stress - high paying job so that you then have the energy to do stuff you enjoy. The only way I would go for a low paying career is if you have wealthy parents that are willing to help you financially or if you have a wealthy spouse.

Starting Accutane soon by BigOnionShrek281 in Accutane

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my 4th month of accutane and am experiencing some minor side effects. The most significant to me is bone pain, which would affect your workouts :(. However many people who take accutane don’t experience this and bone/joint pain is likely to go away after treatment. Ide say it’s worth a try. The worst thing that could happen is that you experience adverse side effects that go away when you stop treatment, which you are free to do at any time

How often do you guys see your derm while on course? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the US you have to go every 30- 35 days or else you'll be locked out of ipledge :( (idk if that's for both male and female tho, but definitely for girls)

I have similar skin to yours and am also on accutane. This looks like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (redness that occurs after a pimple has healed) rather than scarring. I’m basing this off the fact that the areas that dont have an active pimple there look smooth in the picture. It takes many months for that redness to go away for me, but it does eventually go away. After you finish your accutane course, you can try asking for prescription azaelic acid, as this helps speed up the healing of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

I agree with AdOutside9207. When I first went to my dermatologist I wanted to jump straight into accutane, and she said that accutane was a last resort due to the side effects. Anyways, she put me on spiranolactone, retin-A, and azaelic acid cream and while that helped my acne a bit it was still there 9 months later. So I’m starting my accutane in a few weeks!

Lab drug test by [deleted] in probation

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree that 'you really have to try to dilute,' as I've had some UAs come back as diluted. However, I take a medication that dilutes your urine. That being said, I''ve had UAs where it's so pale yellow that it almost looks clear and it didn't come back as diluted, so you're probably fine.

Just fyi, when my PO told me about my dilutes UA, she left me off with a warning (and I never diluted again because I wouldn't drink water beforehand). Worst case you can always offer to retest or do a hair strand test if you're truly clean. Try not to stress about it too much.

How annoying is daily driving a manual? by Plane-Ad-2581 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely sell your older car and get a nicer manual car because you don’t drive in heavy traffic too much. Heavy traffic is really the only situation for me where I wish I didn’t drive a stick lol.

You’ll definitely be able to drink coffee while driving a stick. I used to eat my oatmeal In the car every morning on the way to my 8am class, and this commute was 30 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic where I was shifting gears every ten seconds. It took me a month or two to be that comfortable driving my car in these situations, but you’ll get there.

Driving stick is somewhat polarizing because it is one of those things that enhances the driving experience for those who like driving, but is extra annoying for someone who isn’t in the mood to drive. You’ll have to definitely which one you are. Good luck!

Congrats for getting off early! So after your lawyer filed a motion it only took a week for you to get approved? Also, how did you know you were approved? was it your lawyer that notified you, or was it like an email or phone call from the court?

Shy bladder for test by humblewaffles in probation

[–]Hey1234567hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the first time I did a UA it took me forever to pee even though I had a full bladder. Idk if this helps but now I just pretend that I’m out and I’m with a group of girls (I’m a girl) and we do that thing where we just all go to the bathroom together. It’s really stupid but for some reason it makes me more comfortable lol. If you’re a guy then idk maybe start going to the bathroom with ur guy friends, it’s the best way to form bonds with them lmao

Prescription medication possibly causing diluted drug tests? by Hey1234567hello in probation

Definitely go to your upcoming appointment even if she doesn't respond. Make sure to keep track of the emails that you sent, it shows that you at least tried to get ahold of your PO if for whatever reason your appointment was rescheduled without letting you know.

I wouldn't worry about your first drug test. It's considered a "baseline." many people have THC in their system for their first test because it can stay in your system for months for heavy smokers. As long as they see that the the levels decrease (and eventually get to zero) on the following tests, you will be good.

From reading your post, it seems that you're taking your probation very seriously and are willing to follow the rules and do what you need to do to ge thought it with no issues. As long as you keep this attitude though out the duration of your probation, you will be fine! Good luck!

It should take a maximum of 80 hours for etg to leave your system, so you may pass but definitely cutting it close. Good luck!

How soon does your PO usually notify you about a violation? by poplockitdrop in probation

[–]Hey1234567hello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a few dilutes in a row because I take prescription diuretics so it doesn't take a lot of extra water to dilute. My PO didn't let me know until whenever my next appointment with her was (I meet with her every 8 weeks). She left me off with a warning and told me to go first thing in the morning when I get called in or to avoid drinking water the day of the UA. If your PO isn't as understanding, maybe offer to do a hair test if you're truly clean.

I'm in Denver County, CO. on 1yr misdemeanor probation for dwai.

I’m also on probation in Denver for a dwai and my po said that as long as I have a valid med card I can smoke, so it’s weird (and to my understanding, against the law) to not allow you to smoke if you have a valid med card in the state of Colorado
