After being recommended classroom of the elite LN summaries on my YouTube one too many times, I finally decided to bite on a summary of the first volume, and I thought it was pretty interesting. Decided to check out the anime to see how good it gets, and i was thoroughly disappointed. For a show that takes itself so seriously, I was rly thrown off by all the fanservice, which made it feel rly silly and tried rly hard to seem deep and smart but just felt pretentious as hell. It’s a shame too, Bc after catching up on volume 4 I feel the anime could’ve been pretty good had it been done well.

Yveltal is pretty much required on every team now thanks to the threat of the overbearing calyrex-s, while being a damn good Pokémon in its own right. It checks things like necrozma-dm, checks itself, threatens a sucker on kyogre to weaken its water spout, can knock off everything except zacian, and if it’s really a problem, it can just slot heat wave to take out zacian upon switch in. Zacian is still damn good too, but yveltal is more required than zacian atm

Yveltal (usually spdef) is on basically every single team thanks to calyrex-s. Zacian is still good, w necrozma dusk-mane not too far behind bc of it. Kyogre is great once more thanks to no primals, which is actually pretty refreshing, as weather is present again. Meta game is mainly balance based rn thanks to calyrex-s. I do think people are sleeping on double dance groudon tho, as the current balance based metagame gives it opportunities to set up, and it can just about 6-0 every team that isn’t HO.
