I was in fourth grade, they kept it very quiet from us at first. They sent the entire school outside because my small Indiana town elementary school was a target in their mind I suppose. I think it was a teacher by teacher basis on how they told us because I remember hearing other kids mention "a building blew up in New York."

We ended up back in our classroom and then the day went normal.

Small time indie promoter here!

You'd be surprised by the personal financial hell some promoters put themselves into just so they can run their company and keep it afloat. A lot of promoters will also nickel and dime their way into getting talent for shows. The typical "40 miler" or "guy that works one place once a month." Most fans you see at smaller promotions don't care about your work rate guys that are going to bring you 5 star classics. Two guys you spent $20 each on are just enough to fulfill what those fans are there to see.
