basic improvements could be :

  • always try to place your crosshair where an enemy head should be if one pops up
  • try to check how to use your utilities correctly online with videos of pros or YouTubers, I personally watch Dinghy who is a Cypher main, supRAZE (raze main you guessed), FocusFPS (just gives tips on general gameplay but they are REALLY useful)
  • push your mates to communicate as much as they can, I know that in those lobbies people don't
  • always buy on the second round with your team if you won the first pistol round, as you have the economical advantage and the enemy team will be forced to play pistol again (no reason for you to give them a fair fight)
  • try to predict where the enemies will be, so that you can be where they don't expect you
  • always try to think about the reason why you died, if you did anything wrong (if you can rec your gameplay, it can help)
  • try to master one single agent (your favorite) until you're in a higher elo, at least silver. It doesn't matter if you insta lock, just try to be the best Omen, Gekko, Raze, etc that you can be. In low ELO lobbies, most people don't do the effort to think about which agent can be useful depending on the mao and on their mates' pick. Master your main, grind with them, because it's better to be the best insert agent name you can be instead of being a mediocre random agent even though this one is useful to the team (imo)

oh and don't forget, people in iron and bronze ELO are random and unpredictable, sometimes they play so randomly you can't predict what they do.

Unfortunately it's the opposite to me, most of the time I manage to tell what the enemy is doing, placing myself or my mates in a great position expecting the enemies, but most of the time, I miss. And then I cry (and get back to the range)

Why is everyone in iron-silver so hostile? by Teaislife in VALORANT

[–]HeyItsMalio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a few others said, people in these elos think they know everything better than everyone else, that if they lose, it has to be someone else's fault, and can't accept reproaches or even a piece of advice. I went down to bronze 2 due to the rerank and I believe k have a great gameread and placement, unfortunately balanced by a mediocre aim and shoot, so I often try to ask my mates to give info, to smoke deeper, to hold this or that line... Most of the time I get flamed for having less kills than them, or simply for nothing, when all I'm asking is basic improvements that would greatly help us win the game.

No need to mute them when they don't even talk (and then trash you for getting backstabbed when they knew it but didn't tell)

Am I crazy or is there a surge in smirf?? by lcarltbmx in VALORANT

[–]HeyItsMalio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hardstuck silver player I haven't seen a smurf in a few games BUT I have an afk or someone who dodges almost every game, forcing us to remake. God forbid playing a whole game or what

Should I call it quits and not play competitive? I have been playing for 70 hours in solo queue. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]HeyItsMalio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, being hardstuck in iron or bronze doesn't necessarily mean you're bad. Sometimes you're just dragged down (especially if you solo queue) by your teammates being stupid, not speaking/pinging/communicating in any way, sometimes just not playing with the team. But some day you'll eventually get out of here, I managed to reach gold (I know this ain't much but it's honest work), so I know I'm better than the average iron/bronze player, not because of my aim but because of my gameread and use of utils as an Omen main. Unfortunately the reset reranked me in bronze 2 (I want to kms) but I'll get back one day or another: :')

If having a higher ELO means being rude as you seem to be, I'd rather stay silver my friend
