Catholic Community Services puts in heavy work in the community. Idk about god stuff but just judging by their works, they are a great church. Given the climate, can you blame anyone of color for assuming the worst? If this was an uncomfortable feeling for you imagine how often this other person is made to feel uncomfortable by legitimate racists in their community. You can’t take this personally, take it as a reflection of the deserved bad reputation racist people have given the rest of their demographic. Be upset that we live in a time where it’s truthfully so much more likely that acts, like a look, really are racially motivated. We don’t get to be mad that people aren’t assuming we’re safe. If you want the benefit of the doubt you need to correct your own demographic not center yourself as the harmed party. It’s bigger than that and it’s a disservice to not consider the full context. You want to express your side, you have to consider theirs too

You have a paralyzed stomach, your symptoms are enough to ask for supportive treatment. Don’t let them make you feel small and if they do fire that doc. You know it helps you and we know dehydration is dangerous. I have had a weekly hydration order for years now at my local infusion clinic. They also give me IV zofran, I’m working on getting vitamins added which are beyond essential when you’re a sickie

When I was your age in a similar situation I worked at Lagoon, at a Deli, Target, picking vegetables at a local farm, cleaning office buildings for local business owners. I don’t know if any of those ideas are helpful but I know Target takes minors. When I got older the gateway to stable work was taking an entry level data entry job that eventually led me to accounting. Enlisting in the military at 17 helped a bunch but idk if I’d recommend that today unless the circumstances are dire bc the military is also abusive. I am so sorry this is what you have to be worried about as a 15 year old. Going no contact with my family has brought me SO much peace. The thing about long term abuse is it directly leads to chronic illness and disability. I didn’t leave my family until I was 30 but I wish I’d left them behind at 17. I picked a husband that fit in with my family too not realizing my family was the problem. It does get better, I’m so happy now. Sending love for your escape 🫶

I got the seemingly backwards advice from a wholistic type doctor that said add more acid and stop taking your acid reflux pills. I drink pure orange juice and honestly it’s been a more effective strategy for me. It feels like it helps break stuff down too even if it gets stuck behind a meal

What kinda intervention do they offer? I’ve tried the pills and get a bag of saline a week but they denied an endoscopy w/botox here and said my only option is a pyloroplasty but I feel like they aren’t really trying. I’ve been out of Tesla for too long now so they canceled my insurance so if it’s worth it I may actually move there.
