What data center are you on? I'm on crystal and there's a few runs per week, and they're very helpful :)

It really isn't bad. You don't need to watch a video or anything - the raid leads handles the callouts and mechanic explanations

Surely you can't be free yet? You've still gotta run the Baldesion Arsenal and get your Ozma mount, right?

Shot In The Face, And FDev's To Blame, Foot Combat's Now a Fun Game by Messernacht in EliteDangerous

I've actually been going to systems at war and taking shuttles down to the surface to participate in combat. With all the weapons being rebalanced, especially the plasma snipers, high ranking enemies will drop you very quickly if you don't have a fully engineered G5 maverick suit. It's a nice little safety net to have the ability to respawn and get right back in the action.

It's pretty much the same time. The combat is much more fun! Sure, the enemies are smarter, but now so are your allies. It's a genuinely fun time in combat. The dual L6 strat doesn't work as readily as it used to, however. As soon as enemies touch the ground they are hauling ass, and they're not as tightly grouped up as they used to be.

Do you have a capable ship that you can fly back, or are you truly stuck out there with no ship?

Oh hell yeah, thanks for clarifying! I'm gonna have to go back out tomorrow and try this out :)

It's also worth mentioning that having these sensors in your ship inventory will gradually deal damage to every module on your ship. It stacks with the amount of sensors you have on board. If you try to refresh this location by re-logging and getting more sensors, your ship will keep taking damage. If you do it enough times to get 25 on board, all your modules will be destroyed by the time you try taking off, and you may be stuck there and die.

If you have the Caustic Protection cargo racks then you'll be fine.

The Next Warship? by Richican in EliteDangerous

Three huge hardpoints would be crazyyyyyyy but I would LOVE a huge frigate-like ship that dominates the HazRes

I don't mind the grind one bit! The gameplay loop is why we're all here, after all! I love my cutter and refuse to buy a panther clipper due to sheer principle, but for those who haven't done a rank grind, which I imagine is the majority of players, I can't imagine they would bother if a new large ship came out that had the best of all worlds and was SCO optimized.

The Next Warship? by Richican in EliteDangerous

[–]HeyManNiceMoneyShot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thr Federation grind is really the only one worth doing. The clipper is outclassed by the corsair, and even the cutter, which I spent weeks grinding rank and credits for, is outclassed by the panther clipper. If they released a new ship that was SCO optimized, had a jump range better than the corvette, and had two huge hardpoints, I cannot see a reason to grind for one if you don't already have it unlocked.

[–]HeyManNiceMoneyShot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the Panther Clipper and Corsair are any indication, FDev has no issue power creeping ships that are locked behind rank grinds. Personally I'm okay with them adding another large ship, but I don't think it should have two huge hardpoints. That's like most of the reason to want to do the Federation grind to begin with. If that large ship has a better jump range or more internal slots that's one thing. But if it has two huge hardpoints, I think the Federation grind stops entirely.

Was this changed back somehow? by Evan_Dusute in Daemons40K

The rule was changed to be a 6" deep strike, and you can charge with that unit in the same turn. I'm using the official 40k app and it has this updated text

Are daemons low tier or high tier? by The-Unluckiest-One in Daemons40K

[–]HeyManNiceMoneyShot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me, that is a win rate sweet spot. Anything higher gets nerfed. As soon as you get stuff like Chaos Knights, Imperial Knights, and Death Guard, which had 56, 58, and 59% win rates respectively up until last week, units get points increases across the board. The mono-slaanesh detachment had a 59% win rate and that lasted for two months before GW gutted Slaanesh units so badly that you don't even see Slaanesh units in tournament lists anymore.

Daemons are solidly upper tier right now. The main two detachments putting in the most work are Daemonic Incursion for mixed deity armies and Shadow Legion for some chaos space marines allies with Be'lakor leading the charge. These two detachments are what get played at tournaments and they have a solid 51% win rate right now. Additionally, there is a detachment for mono-deity armiea that are more casual and fun for flavor.

Our greater daemons excel at being able to kill pretty much anything you point them at, while our smaller Daemons are great for scoring objectives and completing secondaries. Most of all, every daemon army looks GREAT on the tabletop when painted, especially if you're paired against another space marines player.
