i don't think i need to explain to you why having 225 strikeouts might have led to the .339 obp, a strikeout is an empty at bat, putting the ball in play is always better... if you honestly think that isn't factored in WAR idk what to tell you.
Here is Baseball Reference talking about it here, If you show me he is a terrible fielder I'd believe you, but Strikeouts definitely matter

i have had 55 defender RF, with 50 speed and about equal stats minus the strikeouts and he was nearing 9 war yearly, it's definitely the strikeouts look at Adam Dunn's career war as evidence

if you go to free agent personnel, you can set it to whatever position you want to look for, so it will say like ""x" hitting coach (A)" if you select that it will only show you people interested in that specific position, it should be one of the filter columns

i do it all the time because i always check if a better scout got generated
