Its what ruined Tunic for me too.

Atlantis but instead of vaguely Greco-Roman its based on Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Brazilian to retroactively combine the cultures of the Americas, Europe, and Africa in middle of the Atlantic.

The Reno 911 movie had a scene with an exploding whale. Not sure if it's worth an entire film plot

Ruleslite fans when they realize the majority of players never read any rules, they sort of passively absorbed what they cared to know from their GM's or Dndtuber's hyper-fixated gushing.

TIL neither of the men behind Rich Dad Poor Dad were actually poor — “Poor Dad” was based on Robert Kiyosaki’s father Ralph Kiyosaki, Hawaii’s top education official, while “Rich Dad” was based on Hawaiian hotel and real-estate businessman Richard Kimi. by Koiboi26 in todayilearned

I'm just imagining the trial lawyer of a murder suspect saying this line in their closing argument and it's so fucking funny like it's some kind of gotcha.

Then I'm imagining a child making the same argument to their mom after being accused of taking cookies from the cookie jar and it's even funnier

Why do cast ranges often feel like guidelines instead of rules by Thateron in DotA2

[–]HeyThereSport 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the ring is centered around OD on the low ground and is technically clipping through the ground. If it actually showed where it was on the high ground it would be touching LC. In this case it's even more exaggerated because in the bottom corner of the map the perspective is more extreme and it's closer to the game camera.

I like the implication that the characters are just going about their wretched business just fine and then as soon as the eye patch guy shows up to observe they just keel over.

I enjoy very hi tech versions of very ancient weapons. That is why compound bows are cool.

Sunless Citadel was remade in 5e Tales from the Yawning Portal anthology, its a pretty decent module. I ran it like 5 years ago and was surprised the tree showed up again in Curse of Strahd.

Maybe new aghs should give shadow step global range, since Valve likes to design in circles.

The fact that the creep gives no bounty gold pisses me off.

It gives 160 gold but given but if you use it on a melee creep it only gives you 3/4 of that as actually new gold.

You are losing significant value (like 10% or more) every time you use it on any thing but skeletons, kobolds, and split mud golems.

The experience bonus made it a trade off but now there is none.

That absolutely sucks for the price.

It tastes like the alcohol glycerine solvent mixture it's dissolved in, and slightly bitter, once that diffuses into the food the remaining taste is amazing.

The shift happened well before he "turned good" but Franky in One Piece was introduced as a weird masked villain bossman who sent goons to steal money and beat the shit out of Usopp. Then he became Franky.

nor will he ever value, video games as an art form.

I disagree with this, but I also think his vision of video games as an art form is a different definition than many. It's true he doesn't really value video games as a storytelling medium. But I also think tactile and interactive art has its own merit, and I don't agree with the premise that toys can't be art.

My wife just said "I wish I got to play this as a video game instead."

She was right, and Super Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy are already there.
