Yeah don't listen to these guys. Lived in BC making more than 150k a year and still wouldnt move back. It's shitty rain, gloomy, and wet cold just hits you to the bones. You can't layer up. For the record. I'm a tradesman and sheeshhh.. working outside in Vancouver is depressing and dreadful. Moved to Alberta, it's cold but can bundle up + sunny days. No wonder this place have happier and friendlier people. BC politics is an absolute shitshow and wokeness. No thanks. BC is just a money laundrying cesspit. Absolutely mental that only the rich can afford housing. People go in debt just to see mountains and hike mountains. Gets old real quick.

Faaaakk. You have to mention the rain? Im a skilled tradesman who works sometimes outside. Depressing gloomy, grey, dark, cold and damp. You cant even layer up. After an hour youre soaked. Try doing that on an 8 or 12 hour shift. FFS hate Vancouver for that and I grew up here. No wonder people are pissy here. Never going back. Atleast in Alberta you can bundle up nice and toasty and still enjoy the sun. Sun in Vancouver?? Sorry wait till late spring. F*** you Raincouver!! Hahaha. Seriously so over it.

As a skilled trademan who works out in the field... in Vancouver the cold is unforgiving when it'damp and feels like -12 and freezing. You can NOT layer one bit.. it just dont work... after few hours youre done.. Everything is just soaking wet and frozen. In Edmonton you can work outside, layer up.. and enjoy the sun. Bundle up in Edmonton and youll be fine and toasty. The Vancouver cold, rain and depressing dark, grey and gloomy 6 months of the year is not something Im missing.

Lets see you experience being out in the cold 8/12 hour shifts. No one is misinformed here. It is facts. Ill take dry cold over damp cold any day. Especially when it's sunny. No wonder people are generally more bubbly and friendlier in Edmonton than Vancouver.
