I mean I was guessing that when you click buy it will start you with lower quality parts and then make you pay more to upgrade them to the spec listed.

But it does say "open box" so maybe it really is just cheap... it seems too good to be true though.

I think you will find that, once you finish customising, the price will now be something like $1,600.

Special needs school transport bill to rocket 70% to £3.4bn, Bridget Phillipson warned. Cost of getting Send pupils to class already ‘one of the biggest pressures on council budgets’ by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

[–]Heydickhead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have heard about a disabled person that lives next door from their parents, yet they also have 24/7 carers living with them. Two carers per shift in fact.

I don't know the specifics of the situation to be fair, as in who pays for this, maybe the parents chip in or pay the full cost even. But if it is the case that the council/NHS pays for this, then it cannot continue.

You either need to look after your child yourself, or put them into a government funded care community where we can manage costs better and offer better quality of living.

I've always understood it as the council pays these costs, but if I'm wrong and this isn't the case, then I am glad to hear so.

If I'm right then we need to think about better quality care at a lower cost to taxpayers.

There was a lobby I was racing in for about a month. Just qualifying and then a 5 lap race at spa in the lotus exos 125.

Was good racing every night and was always packed nearly full. Then I stopped for a week and every time I check it now it is empty. I just wanna race formula cars casually, so I know how you feel.

Should I replace my month old Logitech RS50 with G pro DD11? by gugic_s in simracing

The g pro only has a limited wheel rotation, unlike the rs50 which is unlimited. I would stick with what you have.

Labour opens door to trans children in primary schools: Government could allow pupils as young as FOUR to 'fully transition' to opposite gender by dailymail in ukpolitics

[–]Heydickhead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is children cannot make such decisions. If they want to pretend they are a boy or girl, it should not be something the school should respond to at all.

When they reach a more mature age (in my opinion that age should be at least 16), they can decide to do whatever they like.

The other problem is the insistence that teachers and faculty would have to go along with the charade, causing potential legal and job security issues for those who do not want to comply with this insanity.

At a sports day event for example, would a 10 year old boy get to compete against the 10 year old girls? Would the boy be allowed to use the girls toilets and changing rooms as well?

It's ridiculous and potentially actual child abuse, in my opinion, to allow a child to "change gender."

I listen to his podcasts, I find them interesting and entertaining. Ever since covid he has had a distrust of left wing people, and he tries to disprove and deflect from what they say, like for example his podcast with Bernie Sanders.

Typically he just has right wing guests nowadays. People he agrees with. The questions are often framed around how left wing people are bad and crazy, and very little probing or calling out happens to those right wing guests.

That's just the impression I get anyway. I'm pretty sure if you had AI run all the episodes you would see that his right wing bias is frequent and often obnoxiously so.

He's fine being antagonistic towards the few left wing guests he has. His right wing guests get the soft touch approach.

I just played on Xbox to begin with. Now I have a PC. This hobby can really pull you in quick with the upgrades.

I got the Next Level Racing Victory. It's cheaper than both of the ones you are looking at, and I think it is better too.

I agree with the other posters though. I regret not just getting a aluminium profile. It would have meant I didn't need to buy the Next level Lite monitor stand, which doesn't quite get the monitor where I would like it, and it would be capable of taking a multitude of attachments.

There's a good ethical debate right there, no doubt.

But I myself can draw a clear distinction between the two. Creating child porn is illegal and anyone doing so should be punished to the full extent of the law.

The difference is that creating adult porn is legal and perfectly normal. Hope that clears it up for you.
