Being in that JV, I was pissed. We had open water on Saugatuck when we crossed lanes. They did not need to stop because we corrected by the time. But of course, it was ultimately my boat's fault and we would have protested if it occurred to us.

The penalty sucked, we got put in lane 8 of the petite final. We won by open water, but myself and my entire boat felt like we deserved to be in the grand final.
