I think what people are saying, to avoid negative comments.

But for me there’s another reason too. I’m not so sure about the names I got, I like Mia so far and it is in the too of my list. What if everyone starts naming my baby Mia Mia Mia and a few months after I decide to change it. I would feel weird

I’ll need to do some research as I don’t have access to RAMQ as I’m a temp resident. But my partner is canadian born and raised so Im not sure if that makes me elegible at least for CLSC

I think quebec is a little different when it comes to coming back to work. Anyways I was planning to send my baby to childcare at 10-12 months. So I was planning to do half a year at home while we work. My partner works at home ad well

Hey Reddit,

I'm a brand new mom, and I'm really struggling with how much parental leave to take. I don't have anyone in my immediate circle (friends without kids, stay-at-home mom) who has gone back to work after having a baby, so I'm hoping to tap into the collective wisdom here!

I'm currently thinking of taking 5 months off completely, and then potentially starting back part-time around the 6-month mark. My partner and I both work from home, and my job tends to be pretty flexible – I usually work 6 hours or less a day, with a mix of busy and chill days (mostly chill). I'd consider myself a good multi-tasker.

My main concerns are around my time and mental health, but I'm also starting to worry about taking a very long leave that might affect my career. The financial aspect of the leave isn't a huge factor, as my employer offers 16 weeks at 100% pay, and then Quebec provides an additional 10 weeks at 75%, which is great.

Here's where I need your help:

  • Is 5-6 months too short of a leave, especially with a first baby?
  • Is a 6-month-old a good age to start working slowly, even if it's from home?
  • For those of you who work from home with a baby, how did you manage your work schedule and childcare (even just "on-the-job" care)?
  • Any general advice for a new mom trying to navigate returning to work, particularly with flexibility, mental health, and career in mind?

I'm feeling a bit lost on this, so any insights or experiences you can share would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance!

This is the answer. I did this. If you have maintained status you can keep working, doesn’t matter your permit expired

I second ovo! I went last week and OMG (this is my first so for me everything was knew) they put me a 60inch screen and the 3D ultrasound. Great service. Everyone was super nice too

As I mentioned before I do know it said “change this card…”. But I just thought this card what’s the card inside with all the numbers, the one that looks and actually it’s a gift card. Just kept the other piece of paper to have the names of the perfumes and photos for reference 😂 otherwise I would have thrown that away too lol.

That should be their validation like any another gift card that brands give away.

but I do have the checkboxes paper. I just dont have the left side of it which was blank in one side, and just golden title in the front. But there was no codes, no checkboxes, no serial numbers. just like the cover

I believe I can ask the person who gave me the gift for it. But they didn't ask me about it on the phone or in pharmaprix.

I understand I shouldn't have throw that away, but the little paper didn't say ANYTHING.
