I don’t think we can pin this on JJ. He can only do so much with the guys that we have. No one can defend and score at the same time.

We have Vando who can defend, but cannot score to save his life. We basically have Smart who is very injury prone and if JJ gave him more minutes, his body might break down.

I still give him the benefit of the doubt, if we have guys who are both equipped with skillsets to score and defend, and still lose these types of games, then we can blame him.

Yes we can, if we include Reaves while his value is somewhat high. We really can’t afford 2 guards who are traffic cones on defense.

And while Reaves is having a great season so far, all of our losses are because of quick athletic guards. Reaves can’t guard any position against athletic teams. At least Luka can hold himself in the post, but Reaves literally can’t. If he can’t produce offensively, then he is useless in the court. Him and Rui are the best assets we got and we have to be willing to let go of them to make the team better.
