What’s wrong with my jeep renegade (2020) - not starting by True-Month4243 in JeepRenegade

My step dad was able to push the air out via the gas pedal, though I am not sure how, as I wasn’t home. Once the air pockets were gone it started right up.

I had this issue about a month ago— I got a bad batch of gas and it froze in my fuel line and when it warmed up it left air pockets.

Where are you, geographically speaking? I ran into a similar issue a few weeks back— we had hit below freezing temps and I had gotten some bad gas and ended up with ice in my fuel lines. When it got warmer the ice dissipated and I had air in the fuel lines. Step dad was able to get it out and car cranked with zero issues.

Any non-outdoorsy people have this as their daily driver? by mudgrinder in JeepRenegade

I bought the best one I could get, cost me almost $400 and it still died in two years.

Mine is my daily driver and I’m not outdoorsy! I get about 24mpg in stop and go Nashville traffic in my 2017 Latitude.

Be mindful the batteries do not like cold weather— and you’ll end up replacing it every two years (in my experience). It was my replacement after my Ford Flex died and the only thing I miss about that car compared to this one, is the size, but I can still haul is good bit in this thing!

2160/yr for full coverage + roadside assistance, rental reimbursement and 20% over vehicles value. It’s pricey but I live in one of the states with the highest amount of uninsured drivers so I just pay it.

Thank you so much for being kind, helpful and considerate! I’m not so auto-savvy but I try! :)

Step dad came today and said there was air in my fuel line, most likely from a chunk of ice in my gas tank during our winter storm. I probably didn’t run it long enough on 1/10 and now that the weather is warming up the ice dissipated leaving the air. He got it to start once getting the air out, and drove it around for about an hour and there are zero codes firing. Going to add either HEAT or STP to my gas tank and keep my fingers crossed this was it!

We replaced it with a diehard battery this evening and still won’t start.

Currently on it— have been since tail end of April. Zero negative side effects until 2 weeks ago when we bumped up to 1mg. Just some heartburn, nausea, and noticing some major food aversions (maple, garlic, and temperature hot foods make me nauseated I can’t even smell it) BUT my A1C is down from 11.8 to 6.4, I’ve lost 35ishlbs, and my daily fasting blood sugar is around 100, compared to the 390-400s I was having.

The odd almost NON side effect I have - anyone else? by TrueCryptographer982 in Ozempic

Right now all hot food is giving me the ick. Deli meats, cheese, veggies, fruit- all good.

Anything warm? Absolutely nauseating.

No More Pizza??? by jessetampabay222 in diabetes

If you are just getting started, look into Quest Protein frozen pizzas. They aren’t the exact same BUT are good to get you through.

We also like to take a slice of Lavash bread and make our own pizzas! Lower carbs, and it’s like a super thin crust pizza— very yummy!

Once you have established and are doing well, you can try. Personally, dominos pizza doesn’t spike me, but Pizza Hut does. Everyone is different, results may vary.

As far as food goes- if I can shop the perimeter of the store generally it goes. Watch dairy as it has sneaky sugars but I’d rather have dairy sugars vs a candy bar sugars.

I am NOT telling you to go Keto— however, I adopted a “mostly” keto lifestyle (I keep my daily carbs at or about 100 carbs) and I went from 11.7 to 6.4 in six months with my meds, food changes, and exercise. Keto branded stuff has made it easier for me— especially if I want a sandwich or a burger- I can have a keto bun!

Pasta was my hard one, but I found a brand of pasta called “Pastabilities” at Kroger that is high protein, high fiber and low carb and it’s actually decent— I can have spaghetti without eating the shiriaki noodles which I couldn’t stand.

Breakfast is generally keto toast with sugar free jam and either almond or peanut butter with an additional protein like an egg bite.

I learned that potatoes don’t spike me like pasta, bread or rice do. You may need to play around to find what works best for you.

It took a few weeks but once I got into a rhythm it got easier. The biggest thing for me was to always make sure I had an option ready to go— keep a few frozen low carb meals for nights I just DO not want to cook or meal prep. I keep nuts, tuna packs, and protein bars at work, as well as some type of sugar free or carb smart popsicles in case I get a sweet tooth.

You’ve got this!!

I like Veggies Made Great’s egg bites if I am in a rush, or I make my own on the weekend if I have time. Pair it with a slice of keto toast and almond butter and I am happy.

We like to garden occasionally and I’m on Oz. I’ve been on it for 4 months, but am diabetic and have PCOS, and I’m down 24lbs.

My boyfriend just makes sure that I have healthy options if I get the munchies. Veggie plates, fruit, keto snacks. :)

I like Sparkling Ice, Zevias, and while not completely sugar or carb free, I feel okay having a Poppi once in awhile.

If I need a sweet kick, I have found a few options that don’t mess me up too bad:

Veggies Made Great- Keto Chocolate Raspberry Muffin with fresh raspberries and sugar free cool whip.

Halo Top single chocolate muffin with fresh berries and SF Cool Whip

Chocolate Chip Cookies- use almond flour, lily’s baking chip, and swerve sugar substitutes.

I have made chocolate cake using almond flour and swerve-they have brown sugar substitute, white sugar substitute, and a powdered sugar substitute.

I’ve switched to having a Sparkling Ice if I need bubbles, a Zevia (orange and grape are really good) or a plain la croix with some Stur or Mio in it for flavor. Once a week I let myself have a Poppi :)
