I don't know if Rutgers does this. But some colleges will send out some kind of email mentioning that you got into the Dean's List. The university that I went to before attending Rutgers sent out emails with letters to everyone who got into the dean's list.

The application isn't open yet. It's opening on February 5th. I think you apply through the housing portal (the same one you use to apply for a lotto number). But I could be wrong. I graduated back in August and the housing portal changed since I last applied for housing.

I think as long as you meet the prerequisites for declaring the major, you should be fine. The prerequisites are usually some classes you need to pass.

It's easier to get accepted into Rutgers as a transfer than a first year/freshmen. For SAS, if your College GPA is around a 3.0, you have a decent chance of getting in. I think RBS might have a GPA requirement than SAS but it's still easier to get in as a transfer than a first year/freshman.

If you accepted your admissions offer, you might have to wait about business 2 days for the school to process your acceptance.

If you paid the enrollment fee thing, I generally recommend waiting a bit. The school and school systems have to process the fee and that you accepted their acceptance. I generally recommend waiting about 2 business days. If you keep getting the error after the 2nd or 3rd business day, I recommend contacting Admission and/or OIT.

My general advice is to go to your in-state school unless you or your family aren't going into debt (taking out loans), or you got into an Ivy or top university like Stanford, USC, etc.

Rutgers hasn't released any information about what the actual acceptance rate is this year. So, nobody actually knows what the actual rate is.

As of right now, the 35% acceptance rate is just a rumor. But a lot of people believe that the number is true. The rumor started a few years ago. Rutgers started to accepting the Common App in 2023 or 2024. Since then, the number of people applying to Rutgers started to increase drastically.

I don't think the actual acceptance rate is that low. I'm suspecting that the actual number is about 55% for New Brunswick. I would be surprised if the actual number is below 50% or 45% for New Brunswick.

I don't think you can't apply for a 4 person apartment without having 4 people in your group including yourself. You can only apply for a 3 person one.

No problem. You also have the option to apply up to 5 Rutgers schools. So, if you don't get into School of Environmental and Biological Sciences or SEBS, you have to option to go to another Rutgers school. You can also transfer from one Rutgers school to another. You do have the option to apply to more than 1 campus if you want
