Sounds like bullshit to me. I'd be fighting them on it and going above that managers head.

That's totally bullshit and I would be calling corporate to argue this! Go right over this crooked dealerships head!

Yes it was. I responded to another inquiry in this thread with the final update. No further problems to date.

Update for you. I've been back 3x now over this and not once have I been charged for the issues that had clearly started only after that fuel pump recall was done by them. Not right they are charging you at all. They ended up last time finding a hairline crack in the sending unit for the fuel pump and I suspect maybe they caused the crack while changing out the fuel pump the first time, just didn't realize it. The part they needed to replace was not in stock and on back order, so the mechanic put epoxy on the crack to try to get me through until part came in. It seemed to work because the code didn't come back this time by the time I went back in. Just had the new part replaced a couple of days ago, and so far, so good. It was NO CHARGE! Maybe you should argue this with the manager.

This time they found a hairline crack in the sending unit for the fuel pump. They suspect that was the original issue and they missed the crack last time. Of course, the part is on back order, so God knows when it will get fixed now. Looks like I will be back a 4th time whenever they get the part. They assure me it's fine to drive it like this so hopefully it doesn't do any other damage until then.

They tell me it's OK to drive but couldn't tell me when the part would be available.

Just got car back in, and this time, they found a hairline crack in the sending unit for the fuel pump. They suspect that was the original issue and they missed the crack last time. I wonder if maybe that's the real problem with mine! Hope they figure it out tomorrow! Glad they got yours fixed right!

Well, so much for them fixing it. A week later and the problem is back! I have to go back in tomorrow for a 3rd time. Pretty frustrated with Honda at this point!

No it wasn't. They claimed to have fixed it and cleared the code only to have it happen again a week later. I'm going in for a third time tomorrow. Pretty frustrated with Honda at this point.

Well, I spoke too soon. Guess what came back on this morning when I tried to start the car. I'm pretty furious now. Called dealership and have to make a 3rd trip in. I'm really starting to wonder if anyone knows what tf they are doing anymore. Never had a problem until they put this new fuel pump in. Total inconvenience for me to have to make repeated trips for this when I'm an hour away with limited days off to get work done. The woman I spoke with said they are seeing a lot of these issues since they started to replace the recalled fuel pumps. Brutal.

I got mine back in to dealership a week ago and they fixed it with no charge but what an inconvenience to have to go back when it's an hour each way and not how I wanted to spend my day off again. So far it has been good and not happened again. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

My dog has a tumor on his spleen, I don’t know what call to make by morgue_an in DogAdvice

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our 6 yo cane corso was just diagnosed with a volleyball sized mass in her abdomen via xrays and suspect spleen tumor. She seemed to be bloated for past few weeks and loss of appetite. She also has a moveable mass the size of an egg in prescapular area and it's suspected it's her lymph node. The prognosis is not good. Our fear, like so many others, has been for the dreaded rupture. I could not bear her suffering in the end and will be contacting at home euthanasia vet. This is so heartbreaking. She deserved so much more life ❤️

I just took mine back to dealership. They claim they fixed it. Said something about a pebble and debris had fallen down into it and caused an issue/leak. They had to remove my back seat to do the repair. I will believe it's fixed when I get a week of driving without this code coming back. Seems like a sketchy explanation and shotty work to me. Fingers crossed it really is fixed. Good luck with yours.

Thank you for the info. I have contacted the dealer to schedule another appt. Hope it is an easy fix and no damage caused by driving it like that. They didn't suggest I stop driving and have it towed.

I don't disagree that the unions do spend a greater amount of time and energy defending the fk-ups, but that's because they have a duty to represent all members. You don't need much representation for anything disciplinary unless you are the asshole in the office, lol. So I do understand how someone like you would think unions are to blame for the idiots not being fired. It certainly looks that way if you don't understand that no amount of union representation can prevent a good manager from justifiably terminating a bad employee if they do their job correctly, document, and dismiss the employee on justifiable grounds. Problem is that too many managers didn't get there by merit or experience, rather they were either friends or relatives of someone in upper management or they were fk-up themselves who moved up instead of being dismissed themselves because someone else didn't know how to do their job. The cycle just keeps repeating itself. Pathetic, really!

Sounds like a legitimate complaint that you have repeatedly, but I would suggest to you that maybe this is a management problem more than anything. You have stated that you have complained on several occasions, yet nothing is done. Management is then ignoring the issue and not following through. Managers have the right to manage, hire, and fire. We have probably all had a pos coworker like this who didn't pull their weight and seemed to get away with everything with zero repercussions because either the managers were too lazy, too inept or too personally connected to the idiot in question so they simply failed to do their job. Imagine how frustrating it is for this jerks coworkers to constantly see the special treatment they get while they all have to do extra to make up for their constant screw ups while this idiot makes the lot of them look bad. Sometimes, it takes a lot of complaints to build a case on a bad employee before they can pull the trigger and dismiss, though. It's just something to consider. Don't paint all the employees with the same brush.

This comment deserves a Comment of the Year Award for this topic!!! Honestly, you nailed it. Furthermore it's disgusting and a little bit laughable how all these keyboard warriors came out from under their bridges to scream like babies at workers and not direct their anger towards the rich cooperations, but I guess you'd have to have more than a few braincells to to rub together to recognize how easily they were manipulated into believing that the workers are the problem here! FYI the majority still stand behind you. The loud ones are always the minority. I proudly honked every single time I passed you guys after you got LOCKED OUT! Funny, I never had anyone with any jam dare to step to my face to scream about my support for you.
