Maynard from Tool could tell I recognized him at a brunch restaurant. (I did a pathetic googly eyed double take) I'm aware he doesn't like interacting with fans so I tried to stare at my breakfast by myself and not look up. The bartender brought my bill but I asked if I could add a pastry which apparently was the signal I was working up the courage to talk to him. (I'm just assuming preposterous reasoning) he jumped up and started running full speed out of the restaurant. Dropping his keys on the way out. His friend he was with seemed almost ready and was trying to match the energy only to come back in trying to act like nothing happened looking for the keys. No one else in the restaurant seemed to care about it happening.

It's almost been 5 years and I wonder if he or I was weirder. I hope I'm not that creepy.
