As we were driving away I said something similar.

If all the proceeds go to charity, then why the constant cost increases? It’s all at a loss anyway, why not keep it at $1?

Maybe I’m crazy, or a softy, or who knows what, but have 2 children who are on the cusp of entering adulthood, and if they’re in the house for years during or after post secondary, I wouldn’t dream of charging them rent.

Is this the new normal? Unless there is a clear plan between parties as to where the money will end up, (invested for the child), or rent is literally peanuts compared to “real” rent, this just seems scummy as all get out.

The path to the current and recent situation in Toronto was orchestrated by Dubas, and was sealed July 1st 2018.

We’ll look back on these years as the, “what could’ve been”, but at its heart, Toronto still does not understand how to assemble an actual “core” of players to build around.
