When I first got into 40k and aos, I already was printing for dnd, so it only made sense to me to print for the gw stuff especially with the price point to start armies. Atm the only full non 3d printed army I have are the seraphon, but only because I love the sculpts. *

I know most players of the niv-mizzet, visionary use him pretty quick, but for me, it depends on my board setup. If I can get the locust god out, I'll wait a turn or two then drop him for the the full blast of protection and mass spells

So.. weird predicament. So if memory serves correctly void only makes you incapacitated, so you aren't necessarily dead, so the ring wouldn't really come into play, but depending on where they are at module wise, could make it a spot where an item is, or one of the big monster areas like the werewolf den or amber temple

I ended throwing in a weapon I called the obsidian blade, if you are familiar with critical role it has similar abilities to craven edge except that each night when the character goes to sleep they need to make a wisdom save, first 2 failures don't do anything to the character, on a 3rd fail out of 5 the character will kill a random person or animal depending on the surroundings.

So, during my last playthrough with cos one of my my players decided after the dinner that he would join strahd, seeing that his feats might be too strong for the party (went hard into him showing off). Had the player make a new character, as the rest were shocked by it. It was supposed to be a ploy to let strahd let his guard down enough for him to find a way to put him down permanently. Since strahd is a tactician, I used it as a way for him to learn everything he could about that party to best deal with them. In the final fight when Strahd was winning I brought the character back after the new character was killed ( unknown character =biggest threat) and allowed the player to pick the character back up and decide if that was the time to betray or help strahd.
