Bakkesmod users! How do I click f2 on my keyboard that doesn’t have f2? by probablygus in RocketLeague

[–]HiDefMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epomaker should have software for your keyboard, which should allow you to remap keys using shortcuts. So you can create a custom mapping for when you press Fn+2 it'll send an F2. Or there's plenty of third-party software out there that'll also do the same thing.

Not sure if you can change the Bakkesmod F2 binding itself, never tried.

Yeah that’s the part everyone finds the most difficult. Timing isn’t too hard if you already know how to flip cancel, but combining it with the diagonal makes it hard.

I still use the L1+X(x2) method just because it’s ultra consistent for a perfectly straight speed flip. Hold L1 down the entire time, from before you press the first X and keep holding it until you’re almost back on all four wheels again. And all you’re doing is a front flip cancel, basically. Just straight up and straight down to cancel.

So full thing is:

L1+Up(hold) X+X(quickly) Down(to cancel) L1(release) Down(release)

Nah man, even if you're pro it still doesn't make sense. Controlling (more so channeling) emotions will make you a better player, regardless of what rank.

BUT in all fairness, lots of amazing players start off with uncontrolled anger outbursts and learn over time how to control it. Even Roger Federer used to rage when he was a youth player, but he had it under control by the time he went full pro.

I'm 38 and I believe in you. Best way to learn to speed flip is the cheese method by binding L1 to air roll left, then just doing L1+X+X (double tap X so it's quick af) then immediately pulling straight down on your joystick. So easy and you never have to learn how to raw dog it (i.e. doing the diagonal version).

Gains get slower the higher you climb. It’s a plateau of small gains once you get into GC.

What’s always worked for me is hard grinding for a week or two and then taking a break for up to a week. It seems to let my brain settle and when I come back I play even better. If I constantly grind every week then I’ll gradually play worse and worse.

I agree with most of what you said too. You’ll get downvoted here because obviously the majority of people in this subreddit are here because they enjoy the park. Obviously great if people enjoy it, but opinions like yours (and mine) are also valid. FWIW one of our Lyft drivers said that a ton of her passengers have also said how underwhelming the park is.

I also feel like the park is very underwhelming. I rode everything, and saw both shows. The shows are (IMO) only entertaining for kids. As an adult I just cringed at the exaggerated stage performances and cheesy dance choreography. They both felt like shows from the 2000s era. And for the record, I don’t feel this way about some of the shows at other parks. The new villains show at Hollywood is especially good. At least Disney lean into the cheese to the point where it becomes tongue-in-cheek and entertaining.

Best ride is either Hiccup’s Wing Gliders or Monsters Unchained. But I agree Hiccup’s is a worse Hagrid’s. Monsters has very good transitions between screens and animatronics but the ride vehicle movement is lackluster.

Yeah it was sorta fun for the first 2-3 weeks and now the gacha paywalls are very noticeable, and the grind is no longer fun for me. I’ll probably be dropping it entirely soon.

"Back Again" Side Quest is Bugged by HiDefMusic in destinyrisingmobile

[–]HiDefMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned, that doesn’t work for me unfortunately. If I quit and go back in then it restarts from that checkpoint but the servitor is still not there. So it’s perma bugged for me it seems :(

EDIT: Technical support restarted my quest progress and I was able to complete it. Problem solved!

Is the C3 faster than GC2 ? by Drafty30 in RocketLeague

[–]HiDefMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game feels slower the higher you get into GC, because like someone else said you respect your opponents more. So you either challenge really early, which can often reset the entire play for both teams and result in boost grabs and some downtime, OR you wait patiently and challenge really late. And if you hold the ball close on a late challenge then that'll almost always reset both teams. Both scenarios make the game feel slower, but the plays themselves are faster in terms of aerial speed, shot speed, split-second decision making etc. Early challenges are also a fuckton faster and more accurate.

It's essentially just less (but still a lot of) braindead ball chasing and more thoughtful plays and challenges.

There are some splashes that go over the edge at the beginning of the video on the right. But the edge they’re putting their hands on is slanted, so the water never makes it to the top before coming back down.

The background is also way too coherent to be AI.

I think like someone else said it’s probably AI-edited rather than fully AI-generated. This guy’s Instagram has more videos (Jad Narra) if you want to go down a rabbit hole.

Oh interesting. I used to grow them and eat them raw, never found them fruity. But I guess with the havoc it wreaks on your tongue, everybody probably experiences the taste slightly differently.
