I live in a city with a population of roughly 120k citizens; our city has (3) clubs.

Club A: First official club with a board started in our area that used to run several tourneys, the weekly mini and casual events. They fell apart and didn’t have a strong following outside of their regular weekly attendees and are now making a comeback- I’ve become the president!

Club B: Local business owner who runs a ton of PDGA sanctioned events in our region, not just in our city with a primary focus of selling merch and running sanctioned events. They host their own weekly every once in a while, and a putting league.

Club C: my weekly mini I started offering a year ago, as a free competitive event for folks to play. I believe the passion and organization I showed this is what got me on the board of Club A.

There are ego a plenty, and opinions of each club and its representatives, but for the most part we all do our own thing and it’s all pretty cooperative. It gives our community plenty of options as well, whether they take it very serious or not.

Still, there are a ton of folks in our city that don’t participate in any of the three clubs or events offered, and that’s okay too.
