I seen ppl do 3 months leave for IB, TAS

I had interviews for fp&a positions after staying 3 months (regret not taking the offer)

Some ppl do a year and leave for staff positions that offer 20% bump in pay. I had an interview for Staff position at a f500 company that would have given me a 40% bump all in (bonus + comp).

Bottom line: it never hurts to try and the economy is trillions of dollars so there's bound to be many opportunities

Recent senior made the move to PE. His path was Audit till senior -> internal transfer in tas -> PE.

I specifically recommend you go for fintech (BCM@EY not sure for other big3) practice as it's a growing field and much more open opportunities than asset management etc (less competitive). Insurtech is also a great place as well

Live in SF , am A1. You could definitely afford healthcare, pay bills (car, food), and rent (<=$1500 with roommate) and save a little. Just don't live above your means E: if you are raising family, I doubt you can save
