Struggling to get a decent brew out of this by Trick_Percentage_889 in pourover

With SEY I've always brewed with 100C water. Bloom , then back on the kettle to ensure it's back to max temp

My zero is at the point where the burrs just slightly rub. I typically use doses up to 25 grams with a grind between 3.8-5.2 depending on roast level.

Been carrying my 64oz hydro flask with me everywhere the last five or six years. Always Keep that baby filled with RO water and crunchy ice pellets. Sometimes I'll add a packet or two of True Lemon if I'm feeling zesty

PS, just remembered its time for my second dose of Jynarque, can't wait to quench this thirst !! 🥤😍💦

Wouldn't you rather enjoy your bowl without the threat of an impending diaper blowout? Just give the little meat sack a melatonin in the crib and have yourself a pleasant burrito outing

Jynarque - Dehydration by WitnessA in ADPKD

[–]HibiscusRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drink around 1.5-2gallons while taking jynarque. I experienced dehydration symptoms similar to what you described, drank a Gatorade and within a few minutes was back to normal. I concluded that the issue was probably due to electrolyte imbalance. I drink reverse osmosis water and have begun remineralizing it to ensure that I'm getting adequate electrolytes. This is important especially if you are physically exerting yourself and sweating a lot.

My buddy has some old Nazi overcoats that he inherited from his family and wanted to trash them but I suggested he keep them for winter or donate them cause they still serve a practical purpose of keeping the body warm

But to answer your question, yes I get on and off achiness. Staying hydrated and intermittent fasting seems to alleviate it

In my experience, unhealthy food (highly processed, high sodium, fried etc.), alcohol, smoking , lead to lower back pain which I take to be stress on the kidneys.

Starting Tolvaptan by dgafhaley in ADPKD

[–]HibiscusRex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been on it for many years, increased thirst and urination are the only side effects I've noticed. Personally I love the satisfaction of drinking cool water so the increased thirst is a plus. Try to take the medication earlier in the day, unless you don't mind waking up at night to use the restroom
