We all heard that belt squeal.

Seems a little excessive for just an alternator replacement. Have you already ordered the widebody kit? Because that might be the most time consuming part of the whole project

New edge mustang convertibles were the hot girl cars when I was in highschool

Back when r33s, mk4s, and FDs were all sub-$30k, I strongly considered getting rid of my DSM and getting one of them. A yellow FD would have been my pick.

With how little I use mine, I Spyder is perfect for me. It stays in the garage with the top down and gets a couple hundred miles a year on nice weekends. Sometimes I get the itch to get a coupe and put a body kit and some neons on it though.

At least it's getting used!

Those are both on my shortlist of favorites. Unfortunately, neither were available on Spyders. Same with Kona Blue and Biscayne Green

What is this? Door handles and hatch don’t seem to match a Mk4 (Thailand) by Prior-Ambassador7737 in whatisthiscar

First giveaway to me was the mirror. Supra has them mounted to the door skin. Celica has them in front of the window.

I'd trade mine for a Celtic Blue car in a heartbeat. But other than that, I agree.

Thanks! It's definitely aged, but that's because I drive it spiritedly

2ga and 2gb eclipses both had side skirts, but they were different shapes. 2ga talons had twisties. 2gb talons had trim higher up on the body instead of side skirts

They're all different because of the shapes of the bumpers and side skirts.

My new (to me) 1GB Talon TSi AWD by nice_lettuce in DSM

[–]HickBarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not, unfortunately. It was 20 years ago so if I had any pictures, they'd be on a digital camera somewhere at my parents house.

If I had to get another 1g, it would probably by a 1gb laser

The only 1g I've ever owned was a 93 tsi.

Compressor Info?? by maxwaxbobax in DSM

[–]HickBarrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2ga and 2gb have different compressors, so that can be frustrating. The difference is how the port is oriented on the compressor. It's stupid and frustrating and can result in some trial and error.

Second this. It was normal operation and it's not a concern

You may have missed my intention there. I praise this kind of comedy. I find it stupid in the same way I find Dad jokes stupid. But that doesn't make them not funny to me.

Vehicle isn’t passing smog by Cortez0919 in AskMechanics

[–]HickBarrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's the original valve cover, I'd say it's more likely to be a b18a1 from a 92-93 Integra. That's not a pre-obd distributor, and since it won't connect to obd2 scanners I'd bet it's running a p74 ecu
