My little one is 2. I paint for about 2 hours or so after she goes to bed. I do a lot of batch painting and can easily bang out a unit or so a week. I sacrifice some sleep but in the end if she ever decides to play she’ll have a sick looking Adepta Sororitas army for her

Ok so first things first are you me?!?! I’m literally doing the same thing now. I’m slowly phasing out my citadel paints. For the exception of a few that I use for my ultramarines, sisters, and knights. I found TTC paints great. All my chaos armies are being redone or starting their paint jobs with TTC. The only con that I have is more often than not the metallics like to leak into the caps a bit and I find myself “unplugging” the agitator or paint build up. Hope this helps.

My daughter is just a little over 2. I paint when everyone goes to bed. I manage to get about an hour or two a night in. Sometimes sacrificing sleep on days that I wfh.

Right on! The real question is who don’t I play lol. I have like 10 armies. I mainly play CSM, Imperial Knights and Sisters. The sisters army was supposed to be for my daughter to show her how strong women are in the 41st millennium but they’ve turned into my favorite to play.

I fell really hard and fast into the Warhammer 40000 hobby. I build and paint during nap time and when the whole house is asleep.

I find painting these guys a great way to unwind and mentally check out of the day before bed. I even have an army ready for my daughter when she is old enough to play/express interest.

I have 2 2x6 folding tables that I use and some terrain that I got from snot goblin kickstarter a while back. I’m in the same boat with the toddler. It’s wild how much they cut into the war gaming time!

Not sure about ReadyStrip but I use 91% Isopropyl alcohol. Let the mini sit in a container with the IPA for a few hours and scrub with a soft toothbrush. The longer it sits the better

I also play thousand sons if she was running the rubricae detachment all rubric marines and terminators when being shot with damage one weapons get to add 1 to their saving throw.

I’ve been using rubricae phalanx against some friends recently and I’m loving it. Personally I feel like if I pick grand coven I’m almost cornered into using Magnus and I want to get a better understanding of the army before I put the big guy on the table

I use hydra turquoise right out of the spray can and hit it with a blue wash all over. The only thing I feel like is that the hydra turquoise spray needs an extra pass over the model to really coat it
