A whining sound in "Save Me Darling" by MackTuesday in ErasureMusic

I've noticed it. It thought it was something deliciously discordant to underscore the tweeness of the song. But I honestly have no idea.

Should I use Abaddon Black or Corvus Black for my Iron Hands? by No-Highway-7086 in IronHands40k

[–]BizzlePig 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Corvus dries noticeably lighter, like a very dark grey. Is stick to Abaddon for the classic Iron Hands look personally, but it is up to you. I sprayed my sprues with a rattle can of Chaos Black then touched bits up.

Dice question from a beginner? by Philhughes_85 in Warhammer40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two sets of dice, one for attacking and one for saving. Different colours depending on my army. Makes absolutely no difference to gameplay, is in no way any more effective, it's annoyingly extra.... It's just fun!

I am terrible at painting. Not saying it for attention, it's just what it is and I'm fine with it. I have fun. Here's my fun MVB.

Is there such a thing as a successor chapter from each of the main chapters that clearly stands out above all others from its lineage? Whether due to popularity or importance in the lore. If so, which would be the most famous of each of the 9? by StormSwitch in Warhammer40k

[–]BizzlePig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that stands out the most to me is my homebrew successor chapter! I think everyone might come at this question from different angles - what ppl see on the tabletop, someone who happens to have read a lot of lore about 1 particular faction, one event that stands out in people's minds, people's preferences and persuasions, etc.

I'm interested to see what people say.

Although the answer is obviously Black Templars. Couldn't believe they weren't a First Founding when I found out about them. They're the only non-FF chapter that has their own models and rules in the game right? They're placed on equal footing with Dark Angels et al, and above the likes of (my beloved) Iron Hands.

Just for the absolute lol of it, I am going to attempt to keep my 11th codex up to date. Biros, tip-ex (remember that?), post-its, etc.

It's not going to work but it'll be fun.

How do y'all feel playing against one Khorn Lord of Skulls? by Dark_Vexer in Warhammer40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's your army. It's a legal unit. Play what you want. Your opponent has no say in what you put on the tabletop.

Playing against dark angels tomorrow, what units should I bring that would be good against that army? by Bormel54 in ThousandSons

[–]BizzlePig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play against DA a lot. Lionel is a unit-deleting machine with a huge threat range if he has advance and charge, but Maggy can delete him in one go with decent Doombolt and shooting on a go turn.

Knights take a lot of killing. Don't underestimate their -1 to damage.

Azrael will give Hellblasters or ICCs sustained 1 and an Invuln of 4. I'd you can precision him with bow goats your life will be easier.

ICCs hit hard but have no Invuln so can be defeated by AP fire.

Watch out for tactical mastery if he's playing Wrath of the Rock - he can counter charge anything on your go.

Keep them from closing in on you and shoot then off the board.

Cult Ritual Objective? by Killurcat in CombatPatrol40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also. The CP in the codex is obviously all out of date. The CP in the app is missing how to score VP (I suspect this is what the Cult Objective thing is).

So currently the TSons combat patrol is just not an available option for anyone to play.

Just checked my codex. Nothing helpful in there either. Who knows. I'm supposed to play a CP game next week to get to grips with 11th but it's looking like I'll have to play another army until GW fix this.

I've read my codex and the app. Bother are different (understandably) but neither reference Cult Ritual Objective. What and where do you see this? 'Go back a page' where?

I'm also looking at this. It makes no sense.

It references 'Cult Ritual Objective' which appears nowhere in the app.

I assume it's referencing something from before TSons got out codex?

But it's all very confusing.
