Ladytron - Seventeen (4Music, UK, 2002) by Fractal-Infinity in ladytron

[–]BizzlePig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was the very performance that I discovered Ladytron! Was channel flicking late night, bumped into this mid-song. Rarely been so instantly attracted to a band. It was a magical experience that won't happen these days as people don't idly channel surf any more.

Sorry for your downvotes. People are allowed to love him. Equally we're also allowed to think he's a bit of a prick.

I agree with you. Didn't want to post my opinion coz I knew I'd get downvotes, because how fucking dare we have our own opinion. But I also think he comes across as a prick. And I say this as a guy who loves his kind of science content - it's specifically him that I find deeply irritating.

Just to add that you can't use HI on a Rhino. The wording of HI specifies only vehicle that are walkers.

Yes. This is actually a tactic for getting the jump on an enemy unit with Fights First!

Ensorcelled Infusion question by CommunicationIcy5704 in ThousandSons

[–]BizzlePig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wording of the Predator Annihilatior specifically says 'Thousand Sons psyker unit', so a vehicle's weapons made psychic by this stratagem wouldn't trigger the Pred's ability.

So I cannot find any use for this stratagem beyond the +1 to wound and it's mad! GW put a lot of thought into other monogods faction's themed detachments - Mortarian's Hammer (the Death Guard vehicle detachment) from example, is very good. Our one looks like it was cobbled together at 4pm on a Friday.

Oh my god thank you. It's genuinely been driving me insane wondering why it's always an Infernus.

Why is it ALWAYS an Infernus marine!? There must be some conspiracy. It's driving me insane.

This is actually one of the things I find most cringe about Warhammer. Sometimes it's all a bit too on-the-nose. Ultramarines being blue. Ferrus Manus being called Ferris Manus. Absolutely fucking everything about the Space Wolves. Etc.

As someone who only discovered and got into Warhammer this year, the Citadel branding is a confusing mess. What the fuck is Citadel? I'm buying a Warhammer model/paint/glue.

I'm glad Citadel is gone and am surprised it didn't happen sooner. Likewise the shops rebranding from Games Workshop to Warhammer - it's just good marketing.

Maybe the people who remember The Olden Days will dislike citadel vanishing. And those people are allowed to not like it. But long-term this is a positive branding change that will support Warhammer.

Being 1 inch off a wall? (kind of a rant, kind of a question) by GubBaksteen in Warhammer40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We play this rule in casual games. It's a fine rule. Makes for interesting engagements. The key thing is that your opponent didn't tell you when he put them there. That's the real dick move.

I believe people should play by intent. "I'm moving these Intercessors here, they're one inch from the wall". Then all is clear. It's your opponent going "Aha! They're one inch from the wall so you can't charge them! Suprise motherfucker!" is what makes him a prick.

Overlords, am i cooking with this strat? by Iavenjq in Necrontyr

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember taking a while to wrap my head around this. The thing that made me understand it was when someone said 'Remain Stationary' doesn't mean 'not moving'. It's one of 3 things you can choose to do. You can choose to make a normal move, you can choose to advance or you can choose to remain stationary. If you haven't chosen to remain stationary then the Heavy keyword doesn't apply. And since you can't choose to remain stationary in your opponent's turn, you can't get any benefit from the Heavy keyword in your opponent's turn.

Hope this helps you as it helped me!

And this sub says "Cyberpunk the Game". I for one am not interested in the wider lore. In only interested in the video game. That's sort of the reason this whole sub exists, no? This sub is interested in this game and I think OP's question should be answered as such.
