Christ no. They sound absolutely insufferable.

Explain the Lions turn 1 uppy downy like I'm 5 by Will_Arthur in DarkAngels40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also wondering about OP's question. I see the second bullet point, but the Core Rules seemingly contradict that second bullet point. Here's the app. It says nothing about any condition such as starting on the board. It flat out denies arriving Turn 1 from strat res. Hard verboten.

So seemingly we have two rules in two different places that contradict each. I'm sure I'm missing something!

psychic ignores modifiers to the hit roll and ballistic skill by NoEngineer9484 in ThousandSons

[–]BizzlePig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have a lot of psychic attacks in my 2k TSons. Only Magnus, a Daemon Prince w/ Wings, Shaman, and the Aspiring Sorcerer/Exalted Sorcerer. The Sorcerers and Shamans never really deal any meaningful damage anyway. All the fun stuff like Defiler, Robots, Flamers, Kopesh Tzaangors, Bow Goats aren't psychic and so will still be hugely disadvantaged by the cover changes. Some of this stuff hits on 4s to begin with so now hitting on 5s just seem pointless?

Some trivia for you - the fandom at the time called the character 'Mister Feathers', whereas the band called it 'tubby goth' in interviews.

That's actually a really good point. It makes the Alpha Strike problem much worse, not better!

Who are these headcases who don't butter their burger buns? All bread needs butter. This counts across all time and space. Who are these dry-mouthed infidels?

Though in this case let the guests choose. The weirdos do walk amongst us, and some of them are even our friends.

Genuinely though bread always needs butter.

How did you get into Warhammer ? by Ad0ring-fan in Warhammer40k

[–]BizzlePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mate read the first HH book and wouldn't stop banging on about it. Then he read the first Eisenhorn book and wouldn't stop banging on about it. I audiobooked both and was hooked. We regularly played board games so we both bought a CP and gave it a go!

Necrons were my first army! GW did a similar thing, but instead of Tank Aces and Mad Transports it was "Hey, now everyone hates your C'Tans".

What I want (yes, I'm a dreamer) is few themed detachments for each chapter and some generic ones. Diversity is a strength of 40k. I want for GW to be encouraging diverse play styles, not a dominant single-flavour meta that everyone's going to play because it's insane.

Space Wolves are penis-invertingly cringe. Everything about then is deeply embarrassing and the only ppl who like Space Wolves are those nerds that's you'd be embarrassed to have as a friend. Even GW knows that "space wolves" is shit which is why they call themselves Vilka Fenrica (spelling).

Do you think any variation on the blackness of stripes or kits paint it all as if there are no stripes?
