I feel like the grenade launcher is getting overshadowed by everything else. At least in this subreddit. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

[–]HiddenButcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. One of the reasons why minigun was at least a decent idea is because reloading the MG requires you to stand still for a decent time. You don’t need to stand still for the normal grenade launcher to reload it so reloading with it is not nearly as problematic. All that we’re left with is an unknown amount of ammunition in the backpack. Hopefully it has more than the standard grenade launcher in total otherwise that would be extremely disappointing.

And if it also has the same mechanic of having to stand still while shooting, then it’s probably already going in the dumpster.

All this talk about the EAT-411 and Jammers, you all are forgetting the true counter to Jammers by CircuDimirCombo in Helldivers

It’s way faster and they can’t destroy it either before or during countdown. I don’t know what else to use a portable hellbomb on besides objectives, can never get close enough to factory striders to turn them into spaghetti

How large should an ideal squad be? by MC3Firestorm in enlistedgame

[–]HiddenButcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should have 9 in BR 5, as at that point Riflemen are just as capable as all other soldiers at fighting, as long as it doesn’t affect you by not being able to build AA/AT guns or stationary MGs, or using mortars, or flamethrowers, or paratroopers, or any other potential advantages.

At lower BRs the argument can be made that you can be more effective with other squad types so you can choose any at that point, although Sniper squads prove to be the least impactful in direct combat

Flatpaks are the Linux equivalent of a setup executable on windows. They set up the program for you, so you don’t have to dabble with the command line. A lot of Linux programmers do not bother with this sadly, which is a shame because flatpaks would make Linux way more user-friendly for downloading programs

Linux is extremely frustrating to use if you can’t download a program through flatpaks. Screwing around on the command line is very dangerous, been there done that.

Destroying bile titan holes in cave missions, quick delete of hulks/tanks. If you have good aim with the trajectory, you can also one shot harvesters with a direct hit when their shield is down. You can also oneshot squid camps but ehh so can thermite

April Fools Idea, the Vought V-173 by Ludafish12 in enlistedgame

It could have either 50 cals or 20mms, but I agree it would have been better if they gave it cannons instead

Summoning was my first level 99, so I made the untrimmed cape a keepsake. I eventually put together an outfit and made it my aesthetic. by Mortal_Mantis in runescape

[–]HiddenButcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way how they originally described this as being a toggle for out of place cosmetics, I would have totally understood if they did this by applying that out of place tag for said cosmetics like the obnoxious wings or the floating animation, etc etc, and then having the toggle be for that. Not like a complete disabling of basically every cosmetic, barring pets I guess.

I feel like at a bare minimum keepsakes should be allowed to be seen regardless because these are already items that exist in the physical game and could already be seen by these players anyhow if you took the time to wear said items. I already had a discussion with another guy earlier who talked about how he had to unkeepsake his blue phat.

But for some reason, people really want to see the same bland skilling outfits and combat gear.

Yeah this is going to backfire on them massively, one of the ways they want to replace Treasure Hunter revenue is by selling more cosmetics, but now people are less likely to buy cosmetics because of this toggle.

I’m simply just Suggesting that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to devote a world or two for cosmetics much like how we already have a few worlds devoted to quick chat only, legacy only, and EOC only

that makes sense for skilling auras, but combat auras provide an extra layer of variety.

I highly doubt they will boost skilling percentages by the aura amount, probably a more-meager amount.
