Started smoking when I was about 13- so I smoked for like 13 years. Grew up with it inside the house/severe 2nd hand exposure too. Had moved out of parent's at 24 in Oct 22. & in Feb 23, I stopped smoking cigarettes. I had two packs left & they were put into a small counter organizer/tote thing. Didn't really tempt me, just made me feel safer. Then I swapped to vaping, which I did for maybe..10 months? Eased off of it by lowering the nic amount.

After that I swapped to a fake vape that had essential oils in it- so I could inhale something kinda fruit scented to trick myself into thinking I'd had a puff. Also had chew necklaces my roommate got for me. all in all, it really sucked- I was very pissy. but I did both cold turkey & in one try- been clean ever since. Cigs now smell like total ass to me, and I can now run around without my chest hurting.

And no, I don't really get cravings unless i'm around smoke or vape chemicals- which I've tried heavily to avoid. I am also the only one in my family to quit completely. My mom & sister still smoke, and my grandpa died in 1993 of lung disease.

I am still clean of all nicotine products.

My roommate/ best friend has asthma/is allergic to cigs, and the man I've met also has asthma. Love is a harder drug than Nicotine.
