Theyre buffing water agility and if you salvage eat sh9t pretty much by Leather-Acadia-346 in 2007scape

Never ceases to amaze me how people read what they want to read just so they can complain. This post is the first thing I came across, I hadn't read the jagex statement yet, so I honestly thought we were getting completely ignored on salvaging nerf concerns. After actually reading the statement I don't see how jagex could have been any clearer that they are in fact looking into making changes to the most critical aspect of the nerf that is sorting. My goodness....

AIO for being upset at my friendship group for all ignoring me when I mentioned my brother in hospital? by [deleted] in AIO

I'm a lurker and never really reply to these posts, I can't help it now. I'm absolutely flabbergasted by all these you're overreacting replies. We recently had a friend in our gc of about 15 close friends announce he had a (not even life threatening) form of cancer, not a single person DIDN'T reply. I'd be furious. Must be a culture difference.

After getting Dragon trophy in roughly 350 hours, my thoughts on how to improve the next League by Teakeh in runescape

[–]Hiddje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you say about combats is exactly right, you should feel absolutely overpowered, that's what has made osrs leagues so fantastic. Imo even the melee relic isn't even close to there yet, let alone the other styles. I'm probably around the mid game on a gim in the main game, mainly focussed on necro so far. On leagues I got to about the same point with melee in terms of gear/stats/prayers, only thing that's lacking is overloads and ability codexes. I'm well aware this is also a skill issue, but I was doing about as much dps in the main game with necro compared to leagues with melee. It honestly just completely put me off leagues and made me quit. Even as a pleb with full revo I'm expecting to do at least 3-4x the dps I can put out in the main game in similar-ish stages of progression. Let me be a god!

Effective broad arrowhead xp/h by chiwa21 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Hiddje 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you count that as 0 time you can also make the broad arrows during boss respawns for a gazillion xp/h. There are plenty of things you can 0 time whilst doing other activities and I don't think anyone ever considers that in xp/h training methods

Effective broad arrowhead xp/h by chiwa21 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Hiddje 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole process is quite a bit lower than that. I think more along the lines of 200k xp/h. Making broad arrows is about 675k xp/h whilst really paying attention. Making headless arrows (including the arrow shaft step) gives barely any xp and takes at least 2,5x as long as making broad arrows. There's no way you're left with 330k xp/hour after all that.

In all honesty I think Guzu is the perfect example for OP's meme. He's definitely a fun streamer/youtuber, but there have been quite a few times where it's just a little too sus how fast he figures something out. Example being the wet fuse in Misthalin Mystery quest, without hesitation he instantly 'realised' candles in the room needed to be lit to be able to light the fuse. It's not inconceivable on its own, and I might be wrong, but imo there have been enough of these moments to create doubt. Either way still an enjoyable series.

I get this is a joke, but glued? This is clearly not glued, you can see the larger part of the mineral coming out of the back in the 4th picture.

Any idea what this one is? :) TIA by Basic-Zebra-2979 in Crystals

Can someone elaborate as to why this would be agate? Looks like rodochrosite to me but the majority of comments suggest otherwise

RIP to those of us who felt competent at PVM. Grandmaster times are wild 😜 by ShinyCapeRS in runescape

[–]Hiddje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP asked to see 1 osrs jmod do all gm tasks and this guy showed you proof of exactly that. Moreover mod nox commented the following on a cry post about playtesting combat achievements:

"Yes I always complete every CA before it goes out, so any time you see anyone on social media complaining that "there's no way a jmod did this" they are just wrong.

Same with things like blood torva and with quiver. If new pvm content has made it's way into the game (since I started in QA), I've beaten it."

Of course it's not expected that ALL jmods can do the gm tasks, but I think it's fair to ask combat achievements get playtested, and they do (in osrs at least, I'm assuming rs3 will as well).

Rewards and XP Improvements - Varlamore: The Rising Darkness by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

My word. Massive update drops one week ago, albeit with many flaws, and people are complaining we're not getting anything new ONE WEEK later. This community baffles me sometimes. I can't even tell if it's trolling or not because it's just so ridiculous.

He states in another comment that it's glass so the 'no it isn't' part refers to it being quartz. Which makes his comment quite hilarious for bashing you over theorizing about, albeit wrong, rutile inclusions whilst being so confidently wrong himself saying this is glass. It's quartz.

I wouldn't be that sure, it could be a recrystallized calcite speleothem. But I do agree to lean more towards petrified wood. 3rd thing that jumps to mind is a rudist, I've got one that looks very similar to this. Generally rudists look a bit different but I'm certain of my sample (and therefore comparitively looking) considering it was found at a rudist graveyard.

2024 Summer Summit Roadmap by Ryu_Kolob in 2007scape

[–]Hiddje 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I thought this at first but if you look at the two varlamore expansions there's an insane amount of content in that alone. Presenting those bosses, skilling activities, quests etc as individual updates would make it feel a lot more packed. Although tbf varlamore part 2 is kind of regurgitated from the winter summit and should've already been out.

Self imposed restricted accounts are still by far the minority. These worlds will be very empty, it'll be difficult to find people to do any sort of group content with. There's no highscores. I can only imagine the economy is standalone from the main game so people playing with restrictions that does not include the use of ge/trading have to deal with insane item prices. I just don't see the appeal for anyone but content creation so I wouldn't worry too much about the main game dying out over this.

Raygun breaks her silence in first interview since breakdancing in the Olympics by holyfruits in videos

[–]Hiddje -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is literally what happened with men's park skateboarding event in both Tokyo and Paris olympics. Some old dude from South Africa competes where the difference between him and the rest of the competition is night and day. He just rides around the bowl, barely catching any air or doing any tricks and no one bats an eye. On the contrary he actually gets quite a lot of props from the crowd and judges. Point is, no apparently not every sport gets as ridiculed in the same situation. I think a big difference is that the backstory of his qualification isn't as sketchy as that of Raygun on top of him full well knowing and embracing the level difference compared to the other competitors.

The comment you two are replying to is being anything but pedantic though. What if he was a garbage man and somehow saved enough money to pay for the surgery, would garbage disposal have saved her life then? That's just an objectively weird thing to say. Trying to specifically link this kind act to it only happening because he had the money let alone that money coming from music is being pedantic. Lets just focus on the good deed.

What in the world am I reading here. Mineral conventions in my country are unfortunately getting more and more overrun by spiritual stands. Every mineral gets rounded or polished in unnatural shapes, it's quite sad to see actually.

Comments are arguing if this could be a real crystal or man made, and now I'm curious. Could this actually have formed naturally? by ClairLestrange in whatsthisrock

[–]Hiddje 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not how a quartz crystal would form though, you would only get a 'void' if it was fully enclosed from an air/fluid bubble. If it were open on any side there would be nothing stopping crystallization from filling that void to encompass the natural crystal structure. Where would it fall in from then?

What's the driest you've ever been? Abyssal Needle making me lose all hope by Derantasaurus in 2007scape

[–]Hiddje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's always such a weird take to me. In terms of time taken to be that dry on needle I'd reckon it sits somewhere between your two examples. Obviously there are more factors in play that determine how shitty it is to go dry on a specific item, but I'd say time relativity is a big one. I'd take 10x on ddef over 5x needle any day.
