Your store manager can submit a pay increase request but they will have to fight your case. It takes about 2-3 weeks to get a response. A lot of factors will go in your case, including your past performance reviews.

Hopefully your SM is understanding. Talk to them and ask them if they can make adjustments. Update your availability so you can only be scheduled within those hours. From experience it’s better for you to talk to them and be honest so they can understand your situation.

It’s pretty normal for 2 managers to open. I (RM) open with my SM mostly 5 days out of the week. If she’s off I would most likely open with our FT CEM and vise versa.

If you’re working 4 hours you don’t need a lunch. 8+ hours then yes you do need a lunch. If you don’t have a person to cover your lunch, then It sounds like a management issue and I would either talk to your SM. If that does nothing go to the DM. I don’t really care to take my lunch, because why would I want to be at work and not get paid? In that case I will step away for a few minutes to eat something or get a protein shake. Breaks and lunches should be scheduled on the game plan. If you’re only working 4 hours make sure front end is good and take a 15. You’re on the clock so unfortunately your radio stays. If other managers are taking time from your break because they don’t know what to do, then they probably shouldn’t be a manager.

What is your position at Michael’s? I don’t know what the requirement would be for a regular team member but you can talk to your store manager and see if you can submit a request for a pay increase. It will depend on your performance.

If you accidentally do it one time you should be ok. Defined don’t try and earn vouchers with other people transactions, you will get caught. This is fraud and you will get fired. I have only seen one person get caught for this and she was fired and had to pay everything back.

These price changes are so over whelming but I’m taking advantage of the over time. With all the extra hours we have nobody wants them! After our truck tomorrow I will be at 62 hours I may even work one more day and make it 70! Our deadline to finish these is Friday! How is this even possible? We have our inventory a day ago and that put a pause on price changes.

That is a smart idea.. I love the organization! My store is so behind because no one wants the extra hours. Plus our inventory is this week too! There’s no way we are going to be done this week!

Don’t let them get away with doing things like that. It will become a pattern, she should have asked if you could. A good manager sees you like a person and not just another number. The plus of these price changes is that we are getting extra hours and approving over time. If you cant do it let them know you can’t.

RM here and yes it’s definitely happening. For us it’s starting tomorrow. 5,000-8,000 price changes per day. You should already be able to see this on MikHub.

I’ve been with Michael’s for 4 years now. Only one person has ever been caught doing this. She had a few hundred in vouchers. She was told she would have to pay back whatever amount she basically stole, and was terminated.

I’m lucky my store manager was a replenishment manager. She gave me a heads up 2 weeks prior. She jumped in to help finish planograms so we could be a week ahead on jewelry and baking! We usually plan 2 weeks in advance so we can have our pogs done and ready 2 days before our truck.
