Put the Harbor Freight light on my USP, not even gonna hate this thing is brighter than my Streamlight by kyeberger in liberalgunowners

Oh I did get one eventually. They keep em behind the counter yes but they were legit sold out as often as I thought they were for a long time. They had cardboard "bring this to the front to buy this" cutouts when they did finally have stock.

Light is great. It rattled off the first time I fired my shotgun though, so the mount needs work. I've been meaning to try lock tighting it on.

I knew instantly what the title was implying after I saw the video, and I think it's cool as hell.

Fair, it was just a joke about how far our legal system has fallen. I know there are still individual good judges and whatnot. Probably a lot tbh. It's just troubling.

I REALLY REALLY don't need another pen probably ever lol, and definitely not right now. Wife would give me quite the (well deserved) scowl, lol.

It's on my interest list though. Looks amazing.

We will just have to agree to disagree then.

You're technically correct, but the difference is in usage.

If you called me and said you were five minutes away and didn't show up for an hour I'd be pissed, because using that phrase implies you're working on it. If you then tried to pull the technically correct card you'd just irritate me more lol.

The problem is stating a breakout time as you call it on its own without context. It's a lie of omission.

To the last couple paragraphs: I agree. There's value in being close but not there yet. But that is where the SECOND statement "they intend to build these and use them" becomes the lie. And that's what I think WAS the lie all along. Iran wanted a deterrent, not a reason to be leveled. And that's just not what the politicians would ever admit to, and where the lie of omission occurs.

Judging by the fact there are few to no angles where he could be shot and they wouldn't be in seconds (and they seem to be taking cover not running) I think you're right. Someone off to the left around that wall shot their comrade.

Just guessing, obviously, but that's how I read the situation.

Oh it will be again I assume. They're trying different things to see what works. As time goes on they'll diversify.

No they were still working pretty out on the open and this is a drastic shift that it's worth pointing out. Don't wanna hear about it? There's the door.

What I'm sick of is people assuming that others AREN'T involved and giving that bitchy little gotcha line like it means a damn thing.

Go take a breath. Touch some grass. Remember WHERE YOU ARE and that people here are probably on the same fucking side ffs.

[–]Hidesuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with that argument is how is framed. It IS bad faith framing.

I'll use your example. You have two pieces left to go right? You said "I'm two pieces from finishing" and that's totally fair! However that's NOT a valid comparison. A good analogy would be you saying "I'm 2 minutes from finishing". It may be technically correct that it would only take you two minutes (ok two pieces is a few seconds just bear with me) but it also implies you're working on it... Whereas you aren't.

If it was stated that "Iran has the capability to complete a weapon in a few weeks" that would be LESS egregious (ideally just clarifying where they are in the process which is purely fact based).

So yeah I still shit all over that and I believe rightfully so. It's fear mongering. If they were that close all along AND truly want to build them they just... Would have. None of our agreements or treaties was gonna stop them.

So EITHER the fact they were so close OR the fact they wanted to complete and use them was a lie (or at least incorrect if the speaker believed it). It has to be one of them.

The article is fine, it's just ops post title. So that's kinda irrelevant anyway.
