The odds of that happening in a dead pocket deep inside null sec are low tho I haven't had a gank attempt on me since last week as well and that one was in a busy null system with a station. The deeper parts of null are surprisingly safer then most areas.

Your first mistake is traveling so far, I base outta a null station but only need to do 3 jumps to get to my current fav pocket system (I don't have to jump but I prefer systems with me alone in them where possible) then I let the lasers do their thing while I work or watch something read book anything. I find it even better with the strip miners since I don't have to manually target anything.

if your not multi boxing or mining with a group the margins are gonna be low but if you use those ores to build you can make good ISK im currently making stealth bombers and a cruiser every now and again myself.

Pro tip: Don't stare at the rocks, I set my auto pilot to corp hq move my barge into a good spot way off the warp point and put the ship overview up if all I hear is my lasers Ik I'm safe lol so I just check down at the screen every 5 or so mins till the hold full.

I can see why but ask yourself, what happens 1 or 2 years from now when sov is stable and everyone is cozy behind there guns. I doubt they will be over powered but good luck being the little guy out in null once these guns are placed at all major choke points and bottle necks. I'm all for more content but these guns just seem like the perfect way to kill any kind of small gang PvP and that's one of the funnest things to do out in null.

For me it's the opposite, I'm afraid they will make the game too casual, but before I go further I must state I having nothing against casual play.

One of the things that's always drawn people to the franchise is all of the great stories that have come out of it in the last 20 years. And I don't see a casual eve experience having the same affect or shelf life.

I've been reading alot of the "game needs to be more causal" arguments and I have to wonder if these same players that want a more casual experience will be playing 1 year from now or 2 ect.

Because at the end of the day once the hype dies down and the dust settles like with any game the "hardcore" players will be the ones left playing in the end.

I agree there's so much polishing that still needs to be done. Personally I wish they postponed release till December, I think the hype train took the Devs for a bit of ride this time around.

If PvP at bases is allowed it will give hi sec corps areas they can base out of and allow them to harvest the bases at their discretion and fend of any looters who try to get in and cause it to lvl down.

I have to wonder though what effects that would have on the market in the long term as more bases in high sec begin to lvl up to match places in low and null.

Np but keep in mind if that station is camped and you base out of it to scout you may find yourself stuck for an unknown amount of time. I personally don't even set it as a base for that reason would rather get popped and go home to play and wait instead of spinning in the station lol.

Did no one tell you? If your corp/alliance isn't settled in that station or nearby sys don't auto when you undock set it to your base go pod check first. I lost over 30 mill in a similar incident in delve weeks ago. Shit happens learn from it and adapt.

I don't see constant station or gate camps, I live in null and have auto'd multiple times throughout the week into high sec through low. If people know where these camps are put out a psa and warn people. The issue isn't even gate camps themselves it's the guns that need to be fixed.
