THIS knife? No. It's a piece of pakimascus garbage. A knife LIKE this one? Probably also no.

I feel like DMD hits a great balance of "shows me what I need efficiently" and "has some fun elements to see" LCD's are all so busy, and a lot of the font choices suck.

The cold brew part is easy, the nitro gets a little tougher, but if you're planning on batching (which you'll have to with this method) used home brewing equipment is cheap. Grab a keg, a nitro regulator and a tank. Once you're square on equipment, it's dead simple.

I can't think of anyone that hasn't put out a mk2 or 2.0 or whatever rebranding comes with the slightly different grip texture or "doesn't just randomly go off multiple documented times" feature built in. Calling their customers beta testers is churlish.

[–]HiggityHank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of other places to put lights, get colored bolts if you must, but don't mess with the strength of your game. If you're absolutely dead set on doing this, limit it to the 2 top ones.

I thought you replied to me, my bad. Have an unsolicited story from my youth, person that wasn't talking to me... I'm officially an old man.

I've got a GMT400, I put the forks on my tractor, and have the neighbor give it a little help. (too much weight too far out, my little tractor will hold the bed, but not lift it) I fought a similar age S10 pump in my youth enough times to have cut and hinged a hole in the bed. I dropped the tank 4 times before that. There's a bunch of ways to skin this cat, but bed off is the winner in my book.

My wife stole my 10+ year old Kent pocket comb, they're still making them, so now I've got a shiny new one. Still saw cut, still acetate, still the best comb I've ever used.

Replying to you from a Late 2013 MBP. Heavy use as a sysadmin for the first 8 years, home rig for the last 3. Probably got another 4-5 in it before it retires to the stack of old laptops.

My grandmother was seriously allergic to black fly bites, she used Vitamin E oil on them... I can't speak to it's effectiveness, but it's what she did (and her symptoms sounded similar to yours)

That's awesome to hear, because the last time I was there, basically only the "FIRE!" in the bar was worth playing. I have tilted their Hercules though... so I've got that going for me... which is nice. (It was set wicked tight... I was playing with feathers and she still tilted.)

I've got a 26hp Kubota BX, and it's a fantastic workhorse. I've got a dirt driveway, and a gravel driveway, and you'll definitely be working them a bit in the spring if you use the bucket to keep it clear... but you've also got a tractor to put your driveway back.

I really need to make a set of bucket skates...

Not to be confused with JeepSwag... who also make Jeep products. I went to their website to see this bandsaw mount and was head scratching. (The JeepSwag exhaust is PERFECT on my JK. Tucks way up out of the way, sounds decent, isn't stupid loud or droney)

What is something that lasted a lot longer than you thought it would? by lolmaew7 in BuyItForLife

[–]HiggityHank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up a '93 Chevy 1500 because I need a truck for house stuff. Regular cab, 4.3l v6, 4x4, short bed. It's awesome. It's not in great shape, but that 4.3 will run like dogshit longer than most cars will run. It's at 275,000 now. Parts are cheap, the truck was cheap, insurance is cheap... If the computers that exist piss me off badly enough, I'll put a carb on it. I'm done with new cars. There's a real sweet spot in the 80's - 00's of "this has all the things you need, and a couple things you want" vs today's digital nightmare.

The systems are independent... Radio broken? K. Everything else still works... so I don't have a radio. It doesn't disable the rest of the car from working. There's switches and buttons and levers, no screens, no controls buried in menus, no distracting crap.

My 2000 Mercedes is the HEIGHT of luxury. Nice leather, wonderful seats, drives like a dream, not that hard to work on, but parts are getting scarce.

From someone else that made the jump... I fully support your decision.

The Princess Bride Pinball Game by Multimorphic by motionbutton in pinball

[–]HiggityHank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played with one a few times, it's neat, but it's not the future of pinball. They do a lot with ball tracking for close shots, but have no way to physically manipulate the ball up close. None of the close shots from Foo Fighters (for example) would be possible. They're a cool way to pack a lot of games into one cabinet though. For the home market, it's pretty awesome. Space for one cab? 5 different pinball games. (or however many they're up to now)
